California Dermatology Institute

I had such a great experience coming here that I had to write a 5 star review! The front desk was really kind and the PA, named Chase was also incredibly friendly and full of information and tips! Big thank you to Chase, who was a great listener and was able to help me with my dermatology needs and much more! I feel like I’m in good hands here and it means a lot.

So it was my first experience ever seen a dermatologist. I had a mole that had grown in size on my face right above my lip, I had it on my life it was really small but then it started to grow. Which caused me concern so I scheduled an appointment with California dermatologist institute. I was greeted by front desk so respectfully and so efficiently, I didn't even have to to fill out any check in paperwork because they had already taken that information beforehand over the phone with a customer service representative. Then I went back and saw Dr Chase Diego and oh my goodness he was the kindest and clearest with information! I definitely would recommend anyone family friends or strangers to be seen by either this location or doctor. He also let me know that if I decided to get my mole removed that he would do that. And that he also works at different locations so if you want to be seen by doctor Chase Diego you have the option to possibly see him in a different location in California best of luck with your journey! ★☆☆☆☆ Horrible Experience – Do Not Recommend My experience with CA Dermatology Institute in Santa Barbara has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the start, I was told the doctor only comes to Santa Barbara once a month, which already made scheduling difficult. But what’s been even worse is the constant runaround I’ve received trying to get my Botox injections, which are covered by my insurance. Despite my coverage, the doctor never ordered the treatment, and every time I call, I get different answers. The staff is extremely confusing, disorganized, and unhelpful. They’ve told me multiple times they would "get back to me," but no one ever follows through. I’ve spent weeks calling, only to be left more frustrated and confused each time. This place is not professional at all. The communication is a mess, and it feels like no one there actually knows what they’re doing. I truly hope no one else has to go through the stress and disappointment that I’ve experienced here. I absolutely do not recommend CA Dermatology Institute to anyone. If you’re looking for proper care and reliable communication, look elsewhere.
