Buffalo State University

I graduated with Bachelor’s Degree from Buffalo State (Class of 2015& Masters in 2018). Buff State is One of the best SUNY schools for Criminal Justice. Diverse in culture, great professors and amazing University Police officers. Now I am a Police Officer!

I go here currently. It's a good college for certain degrees and such. But some people are coming here with the mentality that they are getting into the highest prestige school and expect the greatest treatment ever, OR they are the issue and suck at learning. Or they can't comprehend not every college will be great at every degree standard. Buffalo state is a good affordable college that won't leave you in crippling debt. It's not extraordinary, but it isn't under preforming either. It's a college. AT least we aren't Hilbert.

Buffalo State’s decision to hold classes during such severe weather was extremely disappointing. The temperatures were dangerously low, and the sidewalks and surrounding streets were not properly cleared, making it unsafe to get to campus. Walking in those conditions was physically overwhelming, the cold was so intense that I felt lightheaded and close to fainting, and I’m generally a healthy person. I can only imagine how much harder this was for students who are more vulnerable or who rely on walking or public transportation. I take my education very seriously and try not to miss class or be late, which made it even more frustrating to feel like students who care about their education had to risk their safety just to attend. If classes continue during extreme weather, the school needs to do a much better job ensuring walkways and access routes are cleared, because student safety and well-being should come first when making these decisions.

My daughter has attended for 3.5 years and is set to graduate next year. Fantastic professors, helpful advisors, clean campus, safe environment, excellent dining options--dorms were a bit in a bind with some water supply issues early fall semester. She commutes, but parking is readily available. Right on bus route. Plenty to do on campus and around the city

I was here for several days, supporting Geotech technologies, and spatial thinking on campus. The faculty students and facilities are wonderful. Thank you.

I love Buffalo State it’s a university not a community college so you get top tier education here one of the best in the country in my opinion

We did a campus tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the programs and campus housing.
