This place offers a fun take on modern Korean BBQ bar fare. The food is definitely on the heavier, fried side, not exactly health food, but it is undeniably tasty and well prepared. The fries are consistently phenomenal, the potato mozzarella dog was delicious (even if not the prettiest presentation), and the wings were seasoned to perfection. We also really appreciated the creative Asian twist they bring to classic Western bar favorites. The only real downside was the service, which felt slow, random, and not particularly helpful, even though the place was not busy during our visit. Still, the food and creativity make this a solid spot worth visiting.

I got 10 wings and 5 drums with yangyeom sauce. The chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I was really impressed. I loved it.

OMG, I was so stoked when I found out there's a Bonchon in New Haven! I had to try it, so I came here for dinner. I got soy garlic with rice and pickled radish, plus some japchae. The food was amazing and so tasty! Just like the ones I had in Texas and the Philippines. The only downside is that the service isn't the best. I was sitting at the table by the bar, and it took forever for them to take my order. They also forgot to give me chopsticks, a napkin, and a plate. Plus it's a little pricey too.

Hi Im A Flying Person

Came here a few months ago with some friends. I ordered beef bulgogi with some rice and kimchi, my friends got the chicken katsu, fries, and soy garlic tenders. The food was so good and flavorful! The only negative thing I have to say is that the service is not great. I specifically asked for no onions on my bulgogi and they gave me bulgogi covered in onions. When they brought me my correct order they gave me a dirty look and I didn’t receive an apology for my order being messed up. Apart from that, we all enjoyed our food. They gave me a generous portion from my bulgogi which was nice. I definitely prefer the West Hartford location though.

We stopped in here while visiting New Haven. It wasn’t for a full meal, just for a little snack. It was worth it. Clean with lots of tables and a great staff. There was a TV which was showing a baseball game at the time. There’s street parking available with meters, but you have to be lucky to get a spot depending the time you come. There are a few lots in the area. The food was really good. We ordered the soy garlic wings which were very crispy. It was almost like eating fried chicken with garlic sauce on it. The fries are also very crispy and delicious. We also got the shrimp shumai. I really liked the sauce on top, the shumai was just OK. It might’ve tasted better if it was steamed instead of fried. That’s my mistake. Overall a good value with some tasty menu choices.

Who doesn’t love chicken wings, right? These wings are next-level — crispy, perfectly sized, and downright addictive. And when I say perfectly sized, I mean they’re not too big, not too small — just right. They’re double-fried to crispy perfection, hand-brushed with flavor, and typically come in two options: spicy and soy garlic. I always go for half-and-half, but fair warning — if you’re not big on heat (or even if you are), you might want to ask for a 70/30 split because the spicy packs a serious kick! Either way, you can’t go wrong. Cheers to great wings!
