Bar Siena North Shore

It's always a great experience here. I especially love their meatballs in the ever so slightly spicy marinara sauce. Service is always friendly and food is always tasty. Thank you for the birthday bomboloni 😋!

Despite walking past this restaurant many,many times this evening was my first visit. We entered from the mall side so walked through the first bar, past the private function space and into the main restaurant/bar area. I thought the decor was beautiful - especially the lighting. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks from the very good happy hour menu. My espresso martini was delicious and great value. We ordered the meat balls,again from the happy hour menu , and the Brussel sprout salad from the main dinner menu. There were definitely plenty of options and I could’ve happily ordered many of the items . The meatballs were very good, even if the portion size was on the small side with just two small meatballs. The brussels sprout salad was outstanding. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I look forward to coming back. The only thing I would say was that the service was very transactional, not particularly friendly, even though it wasn’t very busy.

We’ve always thought the Bar Siena location at Old Orchard was very nice and decided to have dinner with family here for our gender reveal. The extremely kind manager and staff here went absolutely above and beyond! Food was delicious as usual and everyone made us feel so special. Dinner here ended up being the highlight of our entire holiday season! Thank you so much!! Best gender reveal ever! We will treasure the congratulatory card signed by everyone <3

Found this place to eat before our 4 hour drive home and it hit the spot. It was a positive experience from the food to the staff and I was surprised with a birthday dessert: tiramisu. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

The paw still was not ready when we sat for 45 minutes looking at the menu and finally decided on that just to learn it was never an option and the other pasta I ordered in place of it just really was not great but they have great pistachio gelato! The vibe is very nice and I enjoyed the salmon dish although I don’t love the pea purée and I wish the Seabass was not crusted with Parmesan. Otherwise I would’ve gotten that but other than that is a very pretty restaurant.

Let me tell you. Not only is the food fire, the service and atmosphere are fantastic. It’s hard to find any gluten free food worth eating, but they have amazing options. If you’re lucky enough to meet the manager Tracy, it’s the right time to be there. She runs a tight ship and will make sure you enjoy yourself. I will be back again and again.

I’ve heard two things about this place - small portions - loud like the west loop location (which is unbearable) On a Tuesday night at least, neither were true. My partner’s eggplant parmigiana was gigantic, enough for three meals. My pappardelle was very sizable. The tone and noise level was pretty respectable. The staff was attentive and the vibe and atmosphere were positive. All in, I enjoyed my first dinner here.
