BAM | blowouts and makeup - Dallas - Uptown West Village

Thee Viron Roe and Vevica did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I’ve NEVER been happier. I’ve never felt so pretty in my life. If anyone needs to look their best absolutely needs to call these two. I’m totally in love!

Thea Viron Roe is absolutely incredible. I came to him a year ago. No one has successfully ever curled my hair - until Viron! He is a hair wizard. I had another event today and came back to him. He worked his magic again and exceeded all expectations. I don’t seek perfection- it’s usually unobtainable, but VIRON ACCOMPLISHED PERFECTION TWICE NOW! (With my wildly high standards!) Highly recommend this gem of a man to all! (He’s so good, I almost don’t want to recommend him!)

This place was an absolute nightmare. I flew in from NY to have a blowout done here for 8am. I booked an uber with eta being 8am. 5 minutes from the salon, there were several lane closures due to a marathon, blocking access to the salon. My uber driver had to go through several alternate routes to reach there. At 8:05 I contacted the salon to tell them im running late to which they said no problem. I reached at 8:25 and they told me they couldn’t take me because I was late and bc of my "textured hair". I said okay but I cannot be charged because I did not receive any services, I appropriately time managed for this appointment, no one informed me of these lane closures as i’m from NY so how would I know all of the lanes would be closed, and I paid for an expensive uber there and back. They told me I will be getting charged and gave me the wrong email for the manager upon request. I contacted the manager and she responded saying they will not refund me but give me a credit for a salon in Dallas when I am from NY. Does that make sense to anyone??? I once again explained the situation and have not received a response in days despite continuing to follow up. Bottom line;": Avoid this salon at all costs and spend your money elsewhere. These people don’t know how to practice business in good faith.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. If I could give no stars, I would. I had a very disappointing experience with BAM Beauty Bar (Dallas Uptown Village), and what made it worse was the manager’s completely unprofessional behavior afterward. At my 2/7 visit, I was overcharged multiple times: • I was charged for lash services I did not receive because I already had lash extensions • I was charged $195 for a handbag that was tagged $95 • I requested the Bronzed makeup service ($79) but was charged for Bespoke ($99) I also made it known before leaving that I was unhappy with the makeup service and ended up washing it off as soon as I got home and redoing it myself. The biggest issue was not just the billing mistakes. It was how this was handled after. I called, texted, and emailed multiple times with no response. The manager would not respond to me directly at all. Eventually, the front desk contacted me and refunded the obvious incorrect charges (lashes and purse), but they said they did not have permission to refund the makeup overcharge and that only the manager could handle it. I specifically asked for the manager to contact me directly and made it clear I expected a response. Days and weeks have now gone by with nothing. Having to repeatedly chase a business just to get refunded for their own billing errors is unacceptable. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and apparent avoidance by management was abhorrent and highly unprofessional. The only positive part of my visit was the updo, which was done beautifully by the stylist, but that unfortunately, that does not make up for the atrocious unprofessional behavior of the manager and everything else that ensued. I do NOT recommend BAM Beauty Bar, and I would strongly encourage others to go elsewhere.

Julissa did an amazing job on my blowout! The attention to detail was on point. Love my hair so much! They asked me questions throughout the process and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Now I feel ready to go out with confidence!

I had such a great experience at this place, and Aileen nailed it. From the moment I sat in her chair, she was warm, professional, and really listened to what I wanted. The blowout came out flawless—smooth, bouncy, and lasted way longer than I expected. She clearly knows what she’s doing and takes real pride in her work. I walked out feeling confident and taken care of. If you’re booking here, ask for Aileen you won’t regret it!!!
