Asian Food & Gifts of Chattanooga

While not as comprehensive as grocery stores I've been in in cities with greater immigrant population, Asian Food & Gifts is the most convenient and well stocked international grocery this side of Missionary Ridge. From staple produce, noodles, and frozen foods to Japanese candy and beverages good for gift giving, the stock is both consistent and changeable enough that I'm regularly finding new things to try. The bakery items and quick grab sandwiches available on stock day (Wed-Thurs) are also addictive and might guide uninitiated customers to the pleasures of azuki paste or Vietnamese barbecue. The shop might be small with narrow corridors that make navigation on busy days a challenge, but the friendly and unfailingly polite staff have always been able to guide me to what I need, making each trip only as long as I need it to be. If you live in Chattanooga you should make yourself familiar with this business as it is an indispensable part of the culinary texture of our area and not to be ignored.

Excellent selection and reasonable prices. I love finding new sweet treats and sauces to try from a variety of Asian cuisines! The complimentary tea and coffee are a nice touch.

I've been shopping here since they had long deep freezes in the isles! It's been amazing seeing the grocery evolve into the store it is today. It's always clean, has great prices, the staff and manager is great help and kind. Asian Grocery & Gifts is the best in my town. P.s. I do wish they had yuzu soda everytime I visited, but if they did I'd be broke! 💛

Amazing place! They have so many different options, even a frozen section and a whole bunch of noodles and spices. The people were super nice aswell so i definitely recommend it.

I want to move to Chattanooga just for this store! Everything I could think of or need is here for me to make my beloved Thai food at home. The employees are super helpful, and the prices are very reasonable. Already planning my trip back so I can stock up on pantry staples and hard to find fresh herbs and produce.

Love this place. Can't find baby bok choy or mung bean sprouts at chain grocery stores! Only wish sprouts were sold in smaller quantities. Great variety of dry goods and freezer selection is good.

We come every week and always find an amazing selection of fresh produce and anything we might need for Asian recipes. The staff is so helpful and sweet, and the prices are unbeatable!! Would 100% recommend!!
