The Aquarium of the Pacific is an amazing experience and absolutely worth the visit. The exhibits are beautiful, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, with a huge variety of marine life, from sharks and rays to sea otters, penguins, and colorful fish. The interactive exhibits were a highlight, especially the touch pools, and the educational displays make it fun and informative for both kids and adults. Staff throughout the aquarium were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. The atmosphere is calm, clean, and immersive, and you can really tell how much care goes into the animals and exhibits. Great spot for families, dates, or anyone who loves ocean life. Highly recommend!
Went for a birthday celebration -- and it did not disappoint! So much to see and explore. Between the jellyfish, the sea lions, the sharks, all the touch pools, the penguins, more jellyfish, the otters, the frogs... It's a good idea to plan to stay at least 4 hours. The gift shop was fantastic though some sizes weren't available for the apparel. Big parking lot, small charge. Highly recommend this place for all ages.
I had a great experience here. I visited on a weekend and everything was smooth, no wait to get in, and the staff were friendly and organized. The exhibits are beautiful, especially the large tanks with sharks, rays, and colorful tropical fish. The lighting and layout really make the underwater scenes feel alive. I’m also proud to support my local aquarium. Buying a ticket here isn’t just admission, it helps fund research, rescues, rehabilitation, and release programs for animals from the tropical rainforest all the way to the deep sea. Knowing my visit plays a small part in protecting and caring for marine life makes the experience even more meaningful. This is an amazing place for families, kids, and anyone who loves nature and ocean life. It’s relaxing, educational, and easy to explore at your own pace. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance to make the trip smooth and stress-free. Overall, a fun, memorable, and purposeful visit. I’d happily come back again.
Was on an adventure and decided to check this place out and it was a really cool experience. There's lots to see so budget plenty of time.. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're even close to the area.
We had such a wonderful time at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach! 🐠🌊 The exhibits are beautifully maintained, interactive, and perfect for families with young kids. From the colorful tropical fish to the playful sea lions and mesmerizing jellyfish, every section was engaging and educational. The touch pools were a huge highlight, allowing little ones to safely explore marine life up close. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire place is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate with a stroller. It’s a perfect day outing in Southern California—fun, relaxing, and full of learning. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area, especially with kids!
I came all the way from Montreal to visit the Aquarium of the Pacific, and it was absolutely worth it. The exhibits are beautiful, educational, and incredibly well-designed. Seeing the marine life up close — from colorful fish to sharks, sea otters, jellyfish, and the outdoor habitats — was unforgettable. The entire place is clean, well-organized, and perfect for all ages. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals, which makes the experience even more engaging. If you’re looking for a fun, educational, and memorable activity, this aquarium is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
It's been quite a few years since my last visit to the Aquarium. It did not disappoint and was such a wonderful day spent with my sons, now adults. The only thing that was bothersome was the traffic/parking. I would hope that there could be better ways to decrease the amount of time spent waiting to enter/exit the parking structure (City of LB).
