Disappointing front desk and customer service experience. They sent a reminder for me to schedule an appointment. I scheduled and confirmed the appointment and also did the pre check in. When I arrived for my appointment they told me that my prior referral was expired and I was liable for out of pocket. I really did not appreciate the way the front desk communicate with me. They have poorly designed automated systems and poor customer service for their humans in the customer facing loop. They wasted my time. I wish that I could charge them for my billable hours. Not recommended based on their scheduling and referral process.

I have been seeing Dr. Monica Valentin at the Fairfax Office of Anne Arundel Dematology for many years. Dr. Valentin is board certified in two specialties, Dermatology and Internal Medicine, and her thoroughness is appreciated. She is always friendly and kind, no matter how busy, and she and her PAs help you maintain good skin health including any necessary medical treatments, and annual or more frequent checks as necessary. The practice itself, and the Fairfax office, are extremely well run, including calendars, maintaining scheduling, billing, and communications. Unlike some other specialists' offices, in particular dermatology, while the practice is busy, there is rarely or never any kind of untoward wait, and the waiting room is therefore not full or crowded, because they maintain a disciplined calendar and don't overbook. Only the people right before you and the people right after you are generally there. While I have had only standard but important medical skin checks and treatments, they do offer spa care treatments, and for whatever reason Dr. Valentin ages in reverse so I would trust her in that regard if one were in that market.

Tinuke and her team are amazing! I've been seeing her since 2023, and I came in with concerns about early signs of acne. Even though my acne wasn’t severe, I was worried my concerns might be dismissed because it was very minimal but she completely understood and validated how I was feeling. Since then, my skin has transformed and now has a healthy, glowing look. Of course, I still get occasional breakouts (age-related), but I always feel reassured knowing I can count on her for support and honest guidance. Highly recommend!

The prescription cream caused my face red and swollen. I called, but the doctor never follow up. I told them my face is sensitive, they still did not make any notes for allergies. Very bad experience

They were running behind and very late to call me back, then when the Dr. finally came back in was in the room for maybe 5 minutes. I have never had a dermatologist spend so little time or do so little in an appointment. This was my first visit as a new patient and I will not be returning. I also emailed the address they told me to in the reply below and never got a response, just another example of terrible costumer service.

I had an amazing visit here. Great reception from Ms. Bethllhem and Ms. Shadra with lots of smiles. Dr. James was phenomenal and had my procedure done with a minute. Get here on time and you'll be through an easy process with ease. You must visit here. It's definitely a 5 star.
