CHUNG YOON JUNG

If you're looking for authentic and refined Korean food, this is it. The beef broth is light yet flavorful, and the meat is so tender. I also loved the crispy vegetable chips and the variety of side dishes—everything was delicious. The staff is friendly, and the interior is so cozy. Highly recommended for anyone in the neighborhood!

This is where I can finally get a truly authentic Korean gukbap in NYC. For anyone who does not know, gukbap is a rich broth with rice and is considered real Korean soul food. I guess this restaurant opened recently, because I would have known about it long ago if it had been around. What I love most is that this is the only place where I can customize my gukbap with different broth bases, proteins, and sauces. It is fun to build it in my own style. I kindly asked the chef for two sauces, doenjang and gochujang. Each one tastes great on its own, but the combination of the two was amazing. It has deep umami from the doenjang and a nice kick from the gochujang. The broth itself is rich and complex, nothing like the simple MSG based broths that some other places use. The chef even offered me a taste of the soy and sesame soup base, and that blew me away. I love 콩국수(kongguksu), and the soup reminded me of that creamy and nutty flavor. I might try this soup with ice in it next time. I will definitely come back to try more combinations and find my own perfect bowl. Highly recommended.

Very nice place, the counter seating is great, the service is friendly and fast. The food is great! The gukbap broth is subtle in flavor, the kimchi sauce added a lot. The beef was nicely cooked. The galbi is outstanding, so full of flavor! The chef even made a wrap and fed it to my husband, with a special sauce! Highly recommend!

I’ve been here three times already just to try different dishes, and everything has always tasted great. The servers are incredibly kind and friendly even the chefs or cooks will come chat with you if they have time, which makes the place feel very welcoming. You don’t even need company to enjoy a meal here. What I love the most is the interior design. You can really tell they pay attention to every detail, not just the food.

New authentic korean restaurant in neighborhood. They specialize in gukbap which I had never had before, but I really enjoyed. The sides were really good as well. Also great atmosphere/decor clean bathroom.

This place called Andamiro in Brooklyn is a soup-focused spot where you can customize your bowl. You get to choose from several broth options (chicken, vegetable, beef, and one more I can’t remember 😅) and also pick from four different sauces. Personally, the kimchi and soybean paste sauces were SO good. Everything tasted incredibly clean and flavorful. I was honestly embarrassed at how thoroughly I finished my bowl — like, not a drop left 😂 You HAVE to go and finish your bowl too!

What a fantastic meal!! I got the banchan and everything was so flavorful. The chicken soup was comforting and delicious, and I loved the experience of getting to doctor up your own soup. The staff were all very attentive and it’s so fun getting to sit at the bar and watch all the food being made. Will definitely be back!
