Modern Bread and Bagel

I absolutely love this place. I come here often and my only complaint is that they keep selling out of my favorite stuff! Lol but I just was told I can place an order online so I am going to. I have a gluten allergy so being able to eat what I want here is so incredible. I love their new items and their seasonal stuff as well. I recommend this place even if you CAN eat gluten. You can’t tell the difference!

Modern Bread & Bagel is a 100% gluten-free bakery in Topanga Village. They have an INSANE selection of baked treats!! There is comforting simplicity in their Dine-in Exclusives, only available at the Woodland Hills location. The Miso Salmon Bowl was one of my favorites!! Perfectly seared and flaky! Hits all the right notes with Furikake, avocado, sweet potatoes, marinated cucumbers and pickled onions! The miso sauce brings an umami flavor that’s savory and salty! The Shakshuka came piping hot in a cast iron skillet and crusty bread. This beloved breakfast dish with poached eggs is hearty, spicy and savory! The feta cheese adds a salty and tangy element. The Blueberry Pancakes is fluffy and delicious with homemade blueberry sauce. The maple butter is whipped, made with 100% pure maple syrup, dairy free and vegan. They have a range of hot and cold coffee drinks, including their signature drinks. My favorite was the Mexican Mocha!! They also have a wide assortment of gluten free bagels. With a variety of gluten free, nut free pastries. Some are dairy free, vegan and soy free. So moist!! So scrumptious!! Lovely indoor and outdoor seating!!!

I just visited for the first time and was drawn in by the smell of the bagels and pastries. The style inside is rustic and cute and they had a breat display for the sweets. I dined in and ordered the Miso Salmon Bowl. My son ate the seasonal Grilled Cheese option and we had a side of Latke Tots. Everything we ate was DELICIOUS. I will absolutely be coming back to explore the menu. The only thing i did not like was that it was lacking in cleanliness. Guests cane and left but tables never got cleaned.

Had a great experience! We had the shakshuka and teriyaki salmon bowl. So delicious. Bringing home some pastries for my celiac sister!

All gluten free and tons of vegan/veg options. The pumpkin bread was really tasty. Big thick slice for $5. I really wanted a cinnamon roll but they were sold out by 12 pm on a Saturday so come early if that's what you want!

The place is really cute and plenty of seating. I got the Zaatar Tuna and everything was good... just the bagel I wish was softer. I also got the halva houjicha drink which was really good and loved how it wasn't too sweet. Only thing was there was a small clump of Tahini on the bottom.

In town for work, first came on Monday, and have now returned every day since. Going to get a to-go box to take home with me. Wish they had a location closer to me. Great food, you'd never know it was GF if the signs didn't say so!
