Hap Steam Healthy Cuisine (Gresham)

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time as I work in the area, today I ordered Uber eats. I ordered the roasted pork belly, the pork and shrimp, shumai dumplings, and a cucumber salad. The pork belly needed to be thrown in the trash days ago as it was extremely dry and not fresh at all. Literally was not edible. The pork had the flavor of pork that was cooked days ago refrigerated and then microwaved again and was not fresh by any means. It had a horrible flavor and I had to spit it out and throw it in the trash immediately. There appeared to be actual MSG sprinkled right on top of it, which also was a horrible flavor, and did not cover The fact that it wasn’t fresh. the cucumber salad is soggy cucumber that is not crispy and fresh like cucumber should be. The way it smelled and tasted seem like it was a day or two or three old I do a lot of meal prepping and cucumber is one of my favorite things to add to my salads. It takes a long time for it to get that soft and soggy even with marinade. Out of everything the dumplings may have been the freshest thing, although the shrimp seemed very fishy smelling and tasting. Not like fresh shrimp should smell or taste. I wish I could get my money back. Very disappointed

New neighborhood favorite in Gresham. Ordered beef stew, soup dumplings and Salad rolls with crispy pork belly and peanut sauce. Delicious, quick service and fun street food atmosphere.

They are back open and amazing! The employees are super nice and welcoming and they have great options on their menu. I'm planning on trying their whole menu since I live so close, but so far the sweet chili wontons and shu mai have been delish!

The salad rolls were so fresh! Tried the classic and the char sui pork. The banh mi was delicious and the bread was so good. The hum bao (pictured) and soup dumplings were perfect. Such a good find! Very reasonably priced.

This place is a hidden gem. It is the best vietnamese noodles and sandwiches, along with dumplings, we have found in the Gresham area. We ordered a variety of items and everything was great. The service was friendly and helpful as well. Not only was everything good but it was all also super fresh with lots of veggies and seemed rather healthy. We will be back soon, probably tomorrow, so we can try more of their menu.

Even the jasmine rice has hearts for this restaurant. The strawberry tea and Vietnamese slow drip coffee were great. I would come back here just for a refreshing drink. We had dim sum and salad rolls, they were amazing. Peanut sauce was delicious. Great service! Would definitely recommend.

I’ve eaten here probably 5-6 times now, and everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. The staff has always been courteous and patient with me trying to figure out what new thing I have to try:) This is the second location, with the main location being in Vancouver, WA. There was definitely a learning curve with opening this new, tiny location, but I can guarantee you won’t get food this awesome anywhere else in Gresham! Beware of the meat pies though (my favorite), because they are addicting! One last thing…I follow them on Instagram and they post videos of them hand making all the dumplings, so you can see the freshness and care that goes into their food.
