The other reviews were telling the truth. This place is definitely a gem. The portions were great in size, the food was fresh and the ingredients all came together nicely. The yakisoba was full of vegetables, which is great and the tofu tasted good. The spicy chicken with brown rice hit the spot aswell. The brown rice was perfectly cooked and the chicken had good flavor. Overall great experience. Guessing this is not a chain or franchise, because the food was made with care.

My go-to teriyaki and yakisoba restaurant!! Sakura Express on SE Burnside Rd. I had a large order: 4 items total. I called the order in. From start to finish from placing the order to receive the food was very reasonable! Took only 35 - 40 mins. The food was already reading to go by the time I got there.⭐️⭐️ I ordered 2 beef teriyaki with rice, come with salad; and 2 beef yakisoba, which comes with rice and salad. Yummy! 😋🤤 I've also tried the chicken yakisoba in the past, and it's also good! Highly recommended!! 👌🌟 Parking is a shared lot. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby, including gas station. I uploaded the menu from their site. Price is reasonable. I would go again!! ❤️⭐️🤤⭐️😋⭐️❤️

When I go to Gresham, it's only for Sakura Express and a little grocery run at Fred Myer's. My go to is the spicy pork. They do it just right. However, I went the other day to find new items on the menu!! Korean fried chicken!! If you never had Korean fried chicken then you're missing out. There are a few spots in Portland, but hands down Sakura Express has the best Korean fried chicken! Its extremely delicious! Portion sizes are generous for the price, the sauce is amazing, and the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I tried the Sweet Heat so far, but it's always on my mind. I don't live too near, so I ate a chicken on our way home, and it still kept its crunchiness by the time we were home. This is key during Covid-19 times when we can't dine-in. Anyway, I can't wait to make a trip back to try the other flavors!

If I could give 0 or even a negative quantity of stars I would. Ordered sushi and it was absolutely terrible. Fish was literally FROZEN against WARM rice. The nastiest combo you could ever have in your mouth - trust me! There infinite places in Gresham where you can get sushi that is anywhere from good to great. This has to be the lowest quality in Gresham

Love it here, I always get the chicken teriyaki bowl which always tastes amazing, sometimes I substitute the rice for noodles which is amazing. I recently tried the sushi and it was really good for a great price!

It was so good, there was SO much food!! For the price it was so worth it. I got the spicy teriyaki plate (which wasn't too spicy but a tasty chili-sriracha type sauce) Then a teriyaki bowl...those two items will feed me lunch and dinner for two days. The side salad that came with the plate was really big and refreshingly crisp. I want to try other things on the menu next time

I've lived in Gresham for a while but finally decided to check out this place on a whim...and am so glad I did! They have a large variety on their menu that my boyfriend and I have been enjoying working through, like beef short rib, yakisoba, sushi, & sakudogs. Lately our favorite go to has been their soy garlic Korean fried chicken. The flavor is awesome and texture is nice and crunchy. The inside of the place is small so it's a great spot for to-go or nice for a quick dinner before grabbing groceries.
