Watson Clinic Highlands

I’ve been taking my kids to Watson Clinic Highlands Pediatrics for a few years and we have had really great experiences until recently. Our kids’ doctor and front desk staff have always been wonderful. Unfortunately, some nurses are not friendly to kids. We walked in today and the nurse who helped us were not friendly and were dismissive. She didn’t seem she cared about kids. There was no smile, no greetings. Kids were constantly being told to do things without any caring or kindness. I don’t think any mom would want their children to walk in a doctor’s office and feel like the nurses don’t like kids. I was very disappointed. I hope professionals who work with children can show more kindness and love towards young children, especially in pediatrics doctors’ office.

I would give zero stars if that were an option. My experience with Dr. Jenkins, a primary care provider at this facility, was completely unacceptable. Despite being an established patient within the clinic with a scheduled appointment, Dr. Jenkins refused to see me and instead directed me to urgent care. This occurred after I had taken the time to make the appointment and drive 40 minutes to the office. What makes this even more concerning is that I was not the only patient treated this way that day. It appears this was not an isolated incident, but part of a broader pattern of dismissive and inconsiderate behavior. The lack of professionalism, disregard for patients’ time, and failure to provide continuity of care are deeply troubling. I cannot recommend this provider or facility based on this experience

I come to this Watson Clinic location every few months for appointments and it’s been a good experience every time! And I’m talking years worth of appointments at this point. The staff is normally friendly and helpful, there’s valet if you really desire and the security guards are always friendly if you need helping finding which floor & desk to go to. This is not the closest clinic to me, but it’s the one I choose to go to because it’s such a better and pleasant experience. The ExpressCare attached to the back is also much better for an urgent care as well. Maybe the only bad thing is getting in and out of the clinic- it’s on one of the only steep inclines in Lakeland along the busy 540A so that can get a little tricky.

I use the Highlands Watson Clinic and have always had great treatment from my PCP, my dermatologist, the labs and radiology, and physical therapy. They caring compassionate and expert on their fields. They listen and ask questions willingly. Never had to wait very long at all for my appointments or at Express Care. I highly recommend the Highlands Watson Clinic. It's exciting to know they are going to be part of the Orlando Health facility too.So great for South Lakeland and Bartow.

I came to this office for a Dexa bone density exam today. The woman who ran the exam was quite unfriendly and curt, and I didn't really understand why. She didn't make eye contact and made no effort to make me feel comfortable during the visit. When it was over, she said, "you can GET OUT this way...". I really tried to ignore the obvious inflection and undertones in her statement... But it was quite obvious that she was being rude (but in a manner that could be denied). This is the second bad experience I've had at this location. This location is 2 minutes from my house, but I won't be visiting again, ever.

Really disappointed with the billing department, first in the reception told us that new patients doesn’t pay and I received bills for each member of my family. But the disappointment is that they billed different one of my kids, that have the same first appointment and no illness, only to know the new doctor. And know they are asking to pay a incorrect amount. I contacted the billing department and they said they can do nothing. Really disappointing

certain staff are very unmannered and rude! waiting over 2 hours for a blood lab is simply insane there is no reason. i sit here and watch the front desk talk crap about guests bc they’re behind.
