Dr. Jun

My husband has seen Dr. Jun for mohs surgery on different occasions and he does amazing work, explaining everything he does with a great bed side manner. His staff of nurses are also friendly and caring always willing to keep me updated. Our favorite nurse Shayla is so very sweet and caring and very gentle. The receptionist Ashley is also sweet and very helpful. Glad we have them in the Rockford area!!!

I had Melanoma last June. Dr Jun did the Mohs surgery and as scared as I was it was definitely tolerable and himself and the nurses made my experience a really good one!!!! It was between my eyebrows and of course as a woman, old but still vain😜 I freaked out after I had to have a skin graft from the shoulder. Dr Jun promised me it would take at least 6 months till I could really see it getting better. He was right on target. It’s10 months and it looks fantastic. I am so pleased with Dr Juns work & bedside manner. He is a very compassionate Dr and takes the time to explain everything he’s doing. His nurses are as kind and caring like him. I wouldn’t go to anyone else he’s the best at what he specializes in. Thank you Dr Jun for taking care of me❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had Dr. Jun perform a Tonsillectomy. He was very professional and took the time to answer any questions I had. He was also very accurate and informative about the recovery process. Dr. Jun also recommended a specialist for another issue I had which was unrelated. I had the procedure done at Rockford Ambulatory Surgery Center which had great support staff.

I think it is most unfortunate when doctors spend so much time (and money and energy) going through extensive schooling, making significant sacrifices over the years, only to have their know-nothing receptionists who think they have authority (but actually have none) go on a condescending power trip with potential patients.. The receptionist who works at this office is literally the epitome of rude, has no customer service skills whatsoever, and doesn't think she needs to check in with doctors to find out what they will and won't do before deciding for them. I called to inquire about a very minor scar revision and the receptionist stated it wasn't done here; that Dr. Jun only specializes in Moh's surgery. I mentioned that it says on the website that plastic surgery is performed here (if that's even what a small scar revision falls under), to which she replied, "Uh, NO. He is only focusing on Moh's surgery for cancer. You can come in for a consultation but he's not going to do it so he'll just refer you to someone else. Also, he's booked out until the middle of May and Dr. Stenstrum can't see you until June." The way that she responded suggested that she was trying to detour me from scheduling by highlighting the wait-time as well as telling me that he will only give me a referral. I asked her if she wanted to put me on hold so she could check with him and she said "NO. HE DOESN'T DO SCAR REVISIONS." I mentioned that perhaps she should suggest that the website be reformatted then because it's very misleading. She laughed dismissively and said "yeah, I'll tell my manager. Do you want to make an appointment or not?" I asked how much a consultation was and she said $75, to which I replied "If he's not going to fix the scar, why would I pay $75 to only get a referral when I can google different doctors myself for free??" Dr Jun/Dr. Stenstrom - GET RID OF HER. She is driving away potential patients by making decisions for you and assuming a false sense of authority that drips with condescension. Why would you work so hard just to have someone tarnish your business? Not wise.

I have been seeing Lori Wendt for a few years and don't dread going for my skin checks - she is kind and not chastising about my suntanned past! Very much a professional who still has compassion.

We are so fortunate to have a skilled surgeon in Rockford who is trained in the Mohs procedure. The compassion and caring shown by himself and his staff was amazing.

WARNING! This place is very unprofessional. I went in for a routine procedure and asked a question about another service they offered. A week later I get an additional bill for a "consultation" from the question I asked. $150! Ridiculous. I'm never going to this place again. Watch your bills from this company. They will sneak in extras costs without your consent or any warning.
