Heart of the City Dental

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist! I read a LOT of reviews and did research to find Heart of the City. I even changed my insurance to be able to check this place out! I absolutely was not disappointed. Plenty of parking available in the shared lot with other businesses in the building. The office is very inviting, clean, and organized. The staff has been top notch throughout all of my communication and visits so far. Major shout out to Jenna, who went out of her way to welcome me, learn about my needs/anxieties, and make sure that I felt at home and safe. She even offered local recommendations since I'm newer to the area. My favorite part of the visit was that they offered a menu of items to make me feel more comfortable in the chair! I chose a stress ball for this visit, but might choose additional items on future cleanings! Why not make it feel like a spa visit? HUGE shout-out to my hygienist, Eriel!! She was probably one of the best hygienists I've ever had. She was non-judgemental, sweet, kind, explanatory, and made sure I was doing well and comfortable throughout the visit. We had great conversation, and I felt like she had genuine interest in making sure I was in a good spot. I'd highly recommend her! Dr. Heidi Smith, was also very friendly and helpful during my exam! Lastly, I think they did an amazing job of being upfront and honest about cost throughout my visit. Anything not covered by insurance was very clearly articulated and I felt like I had full control of whether or not I said yes or no to the options. This is huge, because no one likes to be surprised with a massive bill at the end of your routine service. I can't wait to keep coming back to Heart of the City!

Walked into Heart of the City for the first time and it was honestly a breath of fresh air. The place is clean, calm, and actually feels welcoming, not that sterile "hurry up and sit down" vibe. Parking was easy too, which matters more than people admit. Big shoutout to Jenna at the front. She set the tone right away. You can tell they’re expecting you, not treating you like a random ticket in a line. None of that human autopilot "Hi, how can I help you" slop either. Like… I’m clearly here for dental help, not to browse the lobby for fun. The whole visit felt organized & respectful. They check in with you, explain what’s happening, and don’t make you feel judged. They even had little comfort options for the chair, which sounds small, but it changes the whole experience. More "spa energy," less "just survive this appointment." Also, I really appreciated how upfront they were about costs. No surprise bill nonsense. Everything was clear, and I felt like I had full control over what I said yes or no to. If you’ve got any dentist anxiety or you’re just tired of places that feel cold and rushed, I’d recommend this crew. I’m actually looking forward to going back, which is wild to say about a dentist!

I had a Crown Prep yesterday. Dr Heidi made the procedure very easy for me. I especially appreciated the extra time she took to get the Lidocaine just right. Cheyanne(Assistant) made me comfortable from the start and took extra care to get me the best fit on the temporary Crown. Also, a shout out to Jenna and Jackie for making sure I understood my plan moving forward.

I was nervous to switch dentists but Heart of the City has been great! Their staff is so kind and they even offer a comfort menu for your visit. They are thorough and I leave feeling taken care of. Jenna is the kindest person at makes a point to know every patient. Cheyanne made me feel so comfortable during my fillings. Would recommend!

I had work done requiting novacaine. The assistant did not do enough numbing so I experienced some pain before adjustment. I didn’t feel the nitrous worked very well. The assistant talked non stop which caused me stress and inability to relax. I found debris in my mouth from the procedure after I left the office. Tonight I am experiencing much pain

I have been going to Heart of the City Dental for years. All the staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. I appreciate how comfortable they make you feel.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I went to them twice and decided to go with another dentist that I felt would be a better fit for me. Once I had my x rays and records sent over by heart of city dental they gave me a bad review and have told other dentist not to work with me. Based on the dislike of me transferring. Very unprofessional.
