Smile Center Dental Group: Hakimi Hooman DDS

We changed dentists after 30 years; Dr. Hakimi came highly recommended. The office is fresh, bright and efficient. I love Dr. Hakimi - he exudes compassion. He listened to me about improving my smile and he delivered 1000%. Through his skill, I feel more confident and beautiful. He also does the maintenance hygiene procedures himself which is a change from the other dental office. I would recommend Dr. Hakimi and his services wholeheartedly.

Dr. Hakimi is truly a wonderful dentist. The visits are always pleasant and painless. He is professional and considerate. He always tries to accommodate my schedule and best of all, he takes pride in giving all his patients a celebrity smile! Couldn't ask for a better dentist! Highly, highly recommend!

I had x-rays and a teeth cleaning yesterday at Dr Hakimi's. I have been his patient for over four years. I will never go to another dentist. He is excellent. My only regret is that I did not start going to him sooner. He has taught me how to take good care of my teeth and I am very grateful. He is gentle, kind, thorough and professional. I am writing this review on behalf of my mom ( a senior citizen), who is new to Delta Dental and new to this office. Mom has ALWAYS been very diligent when it comes to her dental care, under the care of her previous provider (who was excellent BTW). As a new patient at this office, she advised them that she recently had 2 surgeries and also that she also had a bad reaction to Epinephrine and is not to be given that at any time during treatment. Immediately, the Dentist begins to push my mom to have a deep cleaning even though she does not need one. She expressed that she rather hold off on that procedure because the risk of infection can cause complications with another medical issue she had. She told the Dentist and office staff repeatedly and no one would listen. My mom left the office, with an appt for the procedure she did not want and told me about the situation. I told her as the patient, you have the right to be heard and your concerns are valid. I advised her to call them and be firm and let them know she WILL NOT be pressured into having a procedure that is not necessary at this point or that could possibly trigger other problems. She called and told them she will have a regular cleaning and address the small cavity she had. Again, they continued to be very dismissive of moms concerns but eventually made note to change what the appt was for. Her appt was today at 9am. She checks in and is told her appt is at 9:30am. Someone who is not even a Dental Hygienist (she told mom she wasn't) worked on mom and had water splashing and dripping down her neck! The Dentist did his part and was extremely aggressive and my mother left the office in pain. This is by far the worse experience mom has ever had and she will be changing providers ASAP!! I have been in Healthcare for many years and I know about patients right and concerns. The way my mom was treated is unacceptable and I only wish I could have accompanied her to advocate for her. Her insurance will be contacted and I hope no ones family has to experience the lack of understanding, empathy and professionalism this office displayed.

Dr. Hurt is his usual self. Staff pleasant and pleasing. New offices very nice. If I just didn't have to have my teeth dug out at the roots when I visit, it would be wonderful. What do you say, I just come by and say hello and forget the cleaning? Love and kisses. Again, love and kisses. Re visit today, I talked with HealthNet re copayment. Sean said he would call and instruct you to file a claim and show me (the patient) as receiving the funds as I was not required to make a co-payment. So, said and done, I love Dr. Hurt but I still can't say it's fun coming to see him.

Rather than write a long narrative about my experiences, here are one-word summaries of the points that I (and probably you) care about. Getting an appointment: easy. Time past scheduled appointment spent in waiting room: none. Speed of Dental Services: quick. Quality of services rendered: exceptional. Chair-side manner of dentist: superb. Friendliness and professionalism of staff: excellent. Cleanliness of facilities- wonderful. Dr. Hooman and his dental assistant work wonderfully together; she is intuitive and efficient and he is gentle and friendly. They helped make dreaded dental work tolerable and unthreatening.

I been with Dr. Hakimi for more than 10 years. I would not trade him for any other dentist... He is amazing and his staff has the best customer service. They are an Exceptional TEAM 🙂
