International House Davis

We hosted a retirement party with about 80 guests. The venue was beautiful with large trees shading the patio and easy flow between the indoor and outdoor space. The venue coordinators, Shelly, Johanna and Valerie, were cheerful, accommodating, and flexible. Yun was so responsive to all of our questions and requests leading up to the event. Everyone helped make our evening so enjoyable! We can't express our gratitude enough.

It is an incredible place to meet people from everywhere. Staffs are amazing, as well the teachers. Everybody in there are kind! It is so great to have a place like that when you are an immigrant!

IHouse offers many foreign language classes, some you have to pay for where each class builds on the previous one, and some free walk-in classes. The instructors are dedicated people who really enjoy sharing their language., and the prices are reasonable. I have not taken advantage of the other options there such as movies, dance classes, etc but have heard they are interesting and well done. Reasonably prices annual memberships allow you to take part in all their offerings.

I'm learning Mandarin there, but they offer many different languages at different levels, including English! It's also a cultural center, with regular events for members and public alike!

Everyone wears masks, I feel safe. We take them off to drink and eat, then back on. Just as we are told. Following the (social) rules...to feel safe. Very safe. Double mask 😷 safe.

I have been going to their Spanish conversation classes for two years. They have so many language classes, cooking classes, activity classes and other types of activity all year around. It an awesome place in Davis.
