You will enjoy this facility due to its prime campus location the parking at union garage make it ideal for adverse conditions the main lobby is welcoming but the auditorium is a bit dated I don't recommend it for upscale events lighting and audio equipment is below average..on a scale of 1 to 10 o rate it a 5
The Nyumburu Center is a much needed Black cultural resource for the University of Maryland College Park!
It was a beautiful conference.
I consider the University of Md my second home. I matriculated and graduated 35 years ago and am still an active alumni! The Nyumburu Cultural Center has helped minority students for 50 years. The people that make up the staff and the mission to be a benefit to address and help students is an automatic win!
I don't believe you can find a better group of people to work with. Compassionate, courteous, and professional.
Nice place. Kinda small for events with more than 100 people.
The facility is beautiful, however the furniture needs to be updated and upgraded.
