Sylvan Learning of Gulfport

My son attended Sylan for almost a year. He was very shy in the public school district and would not let the teachers know when he didn’t understand. The class was moving along and he was falling behind. We decided to take him out of public school and trust Sylvan with one on one teaching. He was learning and opening up without feeling like he couldn’t ask questions when he didn’t understand. Sylvan Learning help get our son back to grade level and above. I am so glad we made the decision to get him the assistance he needed to achieve a greater understanding in his academic journey. Thank you Mrs. Brigett, you are amazing❤️

We have used Sylvan for both my daughter and more recently for my son, here in Gulfport. The staff is very attentive and well suited to serve the students they educate. My son had a great experience over the last 18mo+ and has really grasped the reading concepts the instructors provided. We have seen improvements in his grades and everyday comprehension. Ms. Brigette, who runs this branch, was wonderful and always willing to provide suggestions and work with my family and I over the course of my son's program. Thank you Sylvan!

The staff, the expertise, the communication, hands down the BEST experience for my 16 year old daughter! She has always struggled comprehension and studying skills. Sylvan has targeted what she needs and provides group and individual lessons to help her achieve her goals and more! This is the first year she has maintained above average/average grades and typically a D student. I can NOT say enough good things about Sylvan. If your child is struggling, please contact them! It’s worth it!!!

We have attended Sylvan for the past year and it has been nothing but amazing. All of the staff has worked with my very active ADHD child to help him learn. They picked up where the local school system was failing him. They made learning fun for him again and when he had to go for tutoring it was always referred to as "fun school". He had fun while learning. They were patient and helped steer him when he veered off. I can not tell you how much they have helped or how they became like family. Thank you Bridgette for everything. For working with us and always having a smile. We hate we are moving.

My honors senior flunked his midterm in an advanced math he was taking for dual credit. The course was online, administered through a local community college, with virtually no personal support or lectures. I called Sylvan in my area, and they found the most suitable tutor -- a professor with the Gulfport branch, teaching in a local college now, and he had taught from the same textbook previously at a major state university. Skip to finals, and my student not only made an A on the final, he found a question that used the wrong variables on the practice exam, got it right anyway by figuring out the exam's mistake, then shared it with the virtual instructor. If you don't know what to do, call these folks first.

My daughter was really struggling with math. When she was tested we found she missed out on a lot during the pandemic. My daughter grades are very good and she has confidence in her work my daughter is excelling. Thanks to Sylvan Learning Center for their dedication to my daughter. I will forever be grateful.

Our son started with Sylvan back in March and at the time had two Fs and one D. At this time, six almost seven months later, he has all B Honor Roll!!!! The staff at Sylvan are friendly, passionate, and want the best for their kiddos. We are grateful for what Sylvan has done for our boy!!!
