Conejo Valley Adult School

Over the years I have attended Spanish and German classes and am currently attending an Italian class (Level 2) with Instructor Bonnie. I am really impressed with the pace of the lessons and the materials provided and the positive atmosphere created by these language teachers. I feel I am making steady progress each time I attend and I look forward to the classes because there is a plan outlined to us. Thank you!

In my opinion I believe that the medical department as a whole has gone down hill over the past several years. The medical dept. is currently being ran by someone who, in my opinion, is unqualified for the position. Yes, they may have experience teaching various classes, but their overall professionalism and communication I feel diminishes their ability to run the dept. The department is fueled by GOSSIP and DRAMA. Nicknames have been given to some instructors and there are regular behind the back insults about instructors teaching abilities and ways that classes are run. Some of the programs have extremely limited, used, and/or outdated equipment with the school seemingly unwilling to spend the money necessary to make the programs better for the students and their experiences. It is important to have medical classes in an environment that promotes learning of medical information, and some classes have been dumped into computer labs covered in dust (ridiculous when computers are not even needed for the class). There is only one classroom oriented to the medical field and even it is poorly designed and outdated. Will you pass the classes at the adult school and possibly pass the national / state exams? Yes, students do pass. Are there other programs / schools in the area that I feel may be of better quality? In my opinion yes. The Conejo Valley Unified School District is an amazing district with amazing schools and educational institutions, but the ball seems to have been dropped when it comes to the adult school. The school appears run down. Classrooms / office areas/ bathrooms are often dirty. Ultimately the school is an option if you are interested in the medical field, and as I mentioned you do have a high chance of succeeding in the programs if you put in the time and energy.

What a hidden gem this school is!! A variety of interesting classes and everyone you run into is so pleasant
