Academia Language School

I studied abroad in Hawaii with my son for two years. One of the problems with studying abroad with my son was that the holidays at his school and my school did not match up. I transferred to Academia in my second year in Hawaii, but before the transfer, the office staff worked with me to coordinate our holidays by using the transfer period and my temporary return to Japan during holidays. It was very helpful to be able to attend classes without stress while taking care of my son. I was also able to freely choose classes that suited our level, and I had a lot of fun learning English and Hawaiian culture. The wonderful memories I have at Academia Language School are treasures.

The teachers are friendly and very good at teaching. The small classes helped me to learn English. The school has nice students who made it fun. I improved my language skills a lot and made friends. I like their location too because it is near Ala Moana Beach Park. I loved taking a walk there after my class.

It is the perfect school if you want to study while enjoying Hawaiian's life. This school is cheap but teachers are very motivated and helpful. You will learn English with a program known around the world. Seriously I have just studied here about 10 months and I speak English better than friends who studied more than 1 year at EF. Thank you teachers and all the staff for your implication and thank you mr Chavez for your mood and your smile, I will never forget Diamond Head and Shirokiya 😉

Academia was a great school for me. The school also arranged for accommodation in Waikiki at a very low price. Initially, I was anxious about keeping up with English, but I was grateful for the teachers' kind support.

I used to go to this school to learn English. One Filipino teacher is definitely discrimination. He described Korean 'plastics' and said, people travel to there to change their face. Even some Korean students were laughing at that time. But I feel like he is lacking of common sense at all. Even if he took American nationality, he is still 'Filipino' American if he grew up in Filipine. He also took some pictures of students without their permission and posted on SNS. Other teacher said 'Japan invaded China' front of the students including Japanese and Taiwanese. He tried to explain the history of east Asia because there are many east asian students, he seemed like he doesn't know even the name of Chinese last emperor though. Even if they have a problem or stress in their life, that's not our fault. They should be PROFESSIONAL.

Please don't go to this school in Hawaii. Everything is not transparent and it feels like a scam. I had a really bad experience with this school in Hawaii. If can't speak English or use a student to make unfair things happen.
