This museum features a wide range of stunning and impressive artworks. The space is expansive, and I especially appreciated how thoughtfully everything is arranged. Exploring the entire building takes about 2–3 hours, and I would highly recommend it to everyone 🤙
By far one of my favorite Museums of Art’s I’ve visited. We needed more than two hours to see everything. Gallery labels for each piece of art was carefully curated with an in depth analysis and transparent backstory - many touching on topics of race and culture. Amazing! A must visit.
Great museum, we were looking for something to do following a delayed flight and it didn’t disappoint. Collection had works from Pissaro, Cezanne, Van Gogh, etc. The highlight was the lovely courtyard cafe with live jazz. We had delicious sorbet and coffee.
There are many exhibits and many excellent works of art. It's a great art museum to visit with children and family. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful collections. Especially enjoyed the paintings from artists of the Volcano School. The free docent tour was very helpful to understanding the building structure, courtyards, and history of the collections.
Beautiful art in a reasonably sized space. Extensive collection of Asian, including Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and Korean, art. The historic building and courtyards are enough of a reason to go, but also check out the monthly film schedule and temporary exhibitions. A calm, quiet and inviting space.
We have visited a lot of art museums on the mainland and across Europe and frankly we did not have high expectations of HoMA but as it was a very rainy and windy day we walked up there from downtown. Wow, no regrets. An excellent art collection in a beautiful and tranquil building. Lunch was also excellent (and not rip off prices) and the coffee shop in the corner was sweet (get the Thai Iced Coffee !).
