Refuse to give me my deposit back, well they said they would and it’s been five months so basically they’re just really shady

All the artists, staff, and instructors are fantastic at this place. Have had two tattoos done now, and these students are next level! I highly recommend!!!

I've worked with Seven 3 times now and I absolutely love her work! The first thing I brought to her was a sword I wanted on my shin (not much to go on design-wise in a really painful spot) and she hit the design out of the park, is super easy to talk to during the session, and did an absolutely awesome job laying down the tattoo (especially considering I was squirming and the sword required a 13" straight line) She's done a couple tattoos for me since and I love them all! Her abilities with black and grey illustrative designs is what keeps me coming back and I've recommended her to every friend looking for an artist. Everyone else who works in the shop are great company too and do absolutely awesome work! I look forward to getting more tattoos at Point of View and more from Seven specifically!

Attending Point of View Tattoo School was one of the best experiences of my life and 100% worth the tuition. Kat who owns and runs the school immediately had me laughing and feeling welcome there even though I was a nervous wreck and 20 years older than all of the students in my class. Class size was small so I was able to have my millions of questions answered and class times/ tattoo times were flexible so that I was able to work full time while attending classes. Kat and the other instructors let me explore any and all artistic styles that I was interested in and encouraged me to try everything and learn from my fellow students as well. I learned not only about the technicalities of tattooing but also about how to secure a job in the industry as well as how to open my own studio which I have gone on to do:) Tattooing was and still is extremely stressful for me (I’m a very anxious gal) but Kat and her team were always there to give me individual attention and talk me off many ledges as they say. I went through a very dark time personally during my time at POV and I felt like Kat and the school became like a family to me and kept me going despite everything. Anytime I needed anything or had any questions Kat was there to help and always responded even though I know she gets hundreds of calls and messages a day. Another thing that I thought was awesome is that not only did we all study together for the test (the school even provided flash cards for us) so that we all felt super ready but Kat herself drove us down to Salem on test day!! Honestly I kind of wanted to fail so I could stay at school forever but needless to say I was well prepared and we all passed. After graduation Kat helped me find a spot in a shop where I was able to "get my feet wet" in the industry and then eventually helped me to open my own studio with a friend. I say she and the school is the gift that keeps on giving because I still call her with a million questions from licensing questions to technical questions to how to fix a pesky photocopier. She always responds and is there to help even almost 2 years after graduation. I literally could go on and on here but I just want to say POV is the coolest least gate- keeping most inclusive school ever and it definitely saved my life and changed it for the better!!! #worthit

I recently received a small calf piece from Brooks at Point of View Tattoo School. I am thrilled with his work, and had a great time planning with him and seeing how he adapted my original idea to a more personalized version. On top of his excellent abilities, I also really enjoyed being in the studio, the vibe is truly awesome!

My boyfriend and I went in about a month ago for two very small peices, in areas that we both knew we could cover up. I got a small plant on my wrist, he a bug on his elbow. I will not mention the name of the student who tattooed us because while I never recommend anyone get a tattoo from her, based on her unwillingness to communicate and what seemed like she little interest to learn I don't neccisarily think the experience was her fault. His tat was first, the space we were in was one large room with about 6 other artists tattooing. She looked around for space to work, and when she didn't imediently find a bed/table for him to lay on, rather than consulting a instructor, she chose a small stand. She positioned him sitting with his elbow at a weird angle, hand in his face, so she could tattoo the inside of his elbow. In hind sight we should have told her it was not a good idea, however I am used to being tattooed by artists who at the very least understand what angle they need to be in to tattoo properly. The stand had three legs, and for a large portion of the tattoo it was pushed back on 1 of them. She was balancing his arm on 1 leg as she tattooed him. Had this been happening and we were alone with the student I would be much more understanding, however there was an instructor, a short younger man with joggers walking around. She even asked his opinion on how she was doing during all of this. He mentioned something about line work and went to go watch student who seemed to actually know what they were doing. No mention of the angle, the table, or anything to do with the actual experience that was being had. At one point I remember watching her tattoo the insects leg, watching her go at least a half a centimeter away from her stencil and wondering at that angle if she could even see the stencil she was supposed to be following. She finished his extremely wonky tattoo said it was good and moved on to me. My tattoo was on the back side of my wrist, not the outside or the inside, the backside. So again, rather than looking for a bed for me to lay on, she went into positioning me on the stand. My arm was behind me at a right angle, as she started. At this point another instructor came into the room, saw me like that, and grabbed me a table to lay on. Explaining angles and positioning a small a bit to our artist. And finally I was laying on a table, the rest of my tattoo went fine. I can forgive our artist for all of that, I did not appreciate that when we were finished, she told us our price, didn't even ask if we knew how to care for our new work, (mind you we have tons of tattoos but still every single artist at least asks) then she didn't say goodbye, but left the room because at this point we were the only people left in that room and she seemed uncomfortable to actually be alone with us. Whether that was because she was uncomfortable being away from her class or uncomfortable knowing she ruined both tattoos I don't pretend to know. I was on the fence about tattoo schools prior to this, but we figured we liked her flash, she seemed nice, and the school seemed clean and had good reviews. They should at least be teaching their students about positioning before they give them a machine. Point of view gives tattoo schools a bad name. And that God awful "instructor" in the joggers gives instructors in general tattoo or not a bad name.

Working on sleeves with excellent artist Brooks Jarrett. Extremely happy with the work so far. Eager to get more as quickly as I can. Great shop, great people.
