I was looking for methods to improve my English skill and pronunciation. Then luckily found Darren's one to one class. I have been learning English pronunciation under Darren's guidance for 6 months. Darren has rich teaching experience, knowledge. He tailored my classes based on my entrance test. I like his flexible and humor teaching style. Every class was filled with joy. After 6 months' Darren's guidance, I have achieved big improvements - people around me felt that. Darren is not only teaching the knowledge, but he also gives the tool to students which they can learn by themselves. He teaches the skill of learning. I took Darren’s private lessons to help me modify my accent. In addition to being an expert in the field, he is a kind person and very easy to communicate with. While we have different cultural backgrounds, he is extremely understanding of those differences and gave me the confidence to make improvements. I have been living in the US for almost a decade. I was pretty confident about my English, though I knew I need to polish certain pronunciations to have better communication. There were a few things bothered me for years yet I couldn't pinpoint the issues until I took Darren's one on one classes. It has been tremendous help. Working with Darren made me feel infinitely more confident and learned great tools to help me be a better speaker. I joined Darren's small, intensive accent modification program (online classes) and it was an incredibly positive experience. I joined Darren’s intensive small online American pronunciation class during the fall of 2021; since the first class, I enjoyed how Darren taught the course, all the concepts were easy to understand, and he always put extra effort to ensure everything was clear. I like how he was very detailed oriented while I was learning a new pronunciation sound. He provided a lot of valuable material and advice that will help me improve my pronunciation even more. After the course, I can now identify speaking mistakes that I was unaware of before, and my listening skills have also considerably improved. I am thrilled with the results.
