I graduated from Mercer's Georgia Baptist College of Nursing RN to BSN online program. I was only on the campus 2 times, once for orientation and then 3 years later for my Pinning and Hooding Ceremony. So, both times were full of excitement. The graduation was held off site at the Gas South Arena. All of the faculty I encountered were very supportive and in tune with the success of the students. I loved my experience at Mercer and am proud to now say I am a Mercerian!!!

If I can give Mercer 0 stars I would. Save yourself time and money and look elsewhere. The nursing program is over priced for an old lab, nothing works, not even the glucose monitors they have you practice with. There’s only a couple of good professors that actually care about the students. They switch things up during middle of the semester, nothing is consistent. The worst part is when final grades were submitted I was shown a passing grade in a class, a week later I received an email stating that I failed the class. Georgia Baptist School of Nursing is not what it is hyped up to be, there are better schools in Georgia. And let me not forget, they accept students without all of the required prerequisites fulfilled, then once accepted into the program they tell you that you have few weeks to complete the prerequisites or you will be dismissed from the program. Do your research on other schools in the Georgia area before applying to Mercer, Save yourself.

My time at this university was a rollercoaster of emotions, and not in a good way. It’s disheartening how they prioritize profits over students’ mental health. Instead of fostering a supportive environment, they play games with grades just to keep students enrolled longer and squeeze more money out of them. The professors lack compassion and understanding, making each day feel like an uphill battle. If you value your mental health and well-being, I urge you to steer clear of this place. It’s not worth the toll it takes on your happiness and sanity.

My experience with admissions was awful. I do not recommend this university. I was instead admitted on a state university with no hassle. Their internal credential evaluation was arbitrary and they did not provide any supportive explanation of their subjective negative decision. It is very hard to speak with anybody, they always encourage to email them; however, they rarely reply in timely fashion and with sufficient detail. Phone calls: they all go to a voicemail. This fact has been mentioned in several reviews. They are clueless of several academic aspects of admissions as per NACES, they lack of proper responsiveness and I will ever wonder if their professor staff level is as substandard as the non-academic staff. Hard pass with this university. Try any other.

Do not care if students are hospitalized, dealing with mental illness, or domestic abuse. They just want your money at all costs. Even when you're having to resort to food stamps and can't find work they'll come hounding you for less than $300 after collecting +$10k in financial aid. When I'm able to return to school it certainly won't be this one.

They wait until a new semester starts to send you documents to sign and they put holds on your account, instead of doing things ahead of time like normal schools do. This causes many problems for students and is a poor representation of the school itself. Send students important documents they need ahead of time instead of after a new semester starts! And communicate with students about required documents ahead of time! Academic advisors and financial aid advisors at this school need to do a better job at actually communicating with students ahead of time instead of not communicating at all. I had to give this school one star because that is how terrible their system is. And when you call them to inquire about issues, they’re not helpful, are unprofessional, and act like you’re bothering them when you’re the one calling to find out what the heck is needed to fix a problem. So if you’re someone who likes to know what’s happening AHEAD of time from your school and you like good communication with the school, don’t go here; you’ll be on your own to figure everything out and you won’t be notified about important needed documents until AFTER the semester starts when they suddenly place a hold on your account without communication. Very poorly structured system. Get it together, Mercer! Academically, the school is great, but from the administrative side, it’s horrible.

I was a student here at English Language Institute (ELI) for approximately 8 months. Although most teachers were good, it depends on which level you are in. I rated this school one star because my experience with the management was really terrible. Unfortunately, the management doesn't take the student's circumstances in consideration. Therefore, they don't cooperate with students. Even though ELI tuition at Mercer is incredibly high, students will not get what they paid for. For example, many classes are not provided with projectors which are crucial in teaching nowadays. After I left Mercer ELI, I transferred to another English school that was better than Mercer ELI in many ways.
