I hate to edit this, but after going to get an all over color she left the entire back of my head untouched and it looks more like grown out highlights than anything. I reached out and she said she was booked and would let me know when I could come back but that was a couple weeks ago so I felt I gave her a fair shot at correcting this and therefore the 2 star is warranted.

Amy is amazing! She patiently listens to styles I’d like to try for my hair and offers professional advice without judgement. She is warm, welcoming and fun! We moved to Greenbrier almost two years ago. I started seeing Amy about four months ago and sure wish I had found her earlier. She really cares about her clients and does an excellent job cutting my hair. I won’t go to anyone else now!

I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. From the moment we got there I was starting to wonder if I had made the wrong decision picking this salon to get my hair done. When I made the appointment I was told my cut would be with Amy and my color would be with someone else. And I ended up having neither. I got the new girl, I can’t remember her name. She was so sweet and I could tell she tried her very best, but wasn’t confident in what she was doing. I love the cut she did, but after 3 hours of being there I would have expected the purple I wanted added to my hair to have lasted longer than 1 wash. The purple was so vibrant until I washed it at home. Now it’s barely visible. If I would have known that it would have washed out like that I definitely would not have waisted my money.

I was struggling with my hair thinning and finding someone who could get me the color that I wanted , but Jordan and Amy are the best! Amy is the most phenomenal colorist, and Jordan takes fabulous care of my hair and extensions. I’ve been going to them for a couple of years now, and they’re wonderful! They have given me so much confidence, and I love my hair more than ever!

Amy was absolutely amazing. Her co-worker, whom I did not get her name, did my eyebrows perfectly as well. Amy chose the color for me and I couldn’t be happier. Their energy and kindness was also a huge part of my great experience there. Thank you all, will definitely be coming back here.

Amy is AWESOME! I love what she has done for my hair. I love the color, which is exactly what I asked for. I love the cut because I have a million cowlicks and she tamed them all! She is fun to talk with as she works her magic on you and you really do leave her chair feeling like a million bucks! I can hardly wait for my eyelash lift and tint! I grew them nice and long with my R+F Lash Boost and now she's going to make sure they are nice and curled up all the time, instead of sticking straight out!!!

I highly recommend Amy Gilstrap. She has a gift of bringing out one's inner beauty through her professionalism. She addresses the whole person when working with her clients. She empowers all that have the pleasure of sitting in her chair. I ALWAYS walk away from her looking and feeling more beautiful than I could have imagined.
