This is a great place located off Figueroa kind of near Lilac Bakery. I've been going to them a long time and they've always done a great job. Everyone in the salon has always been very friendly and professional. I very much trust and appreciate the work they do. It's hard to find a good stylist who you like and trust and that does a great job. I would recommend anyone to come to this place. No doubt.

DISCLAIMER: I have only been to Walter Claudio to have my hair cut, and cannot speak to their ability in regards to styling, coloring, or other services I have been getting my hair cut here since I was 4 years old. I have only ever gotten 2 cuts I didn't like. All of the cutters are friendly, professional, skilled, and give great service. Your hair is washed, and they often walk you through exactly what they're doing and check in regularly to make sure your cut is perfect. If you have to wait before your cut, (which is rare,) you are offered refreshments. Not just does Walter Claudio offer great service, but a great atmosphere. The building has a unique style with exposed brick walls and air duct system, and the walls are always filled with amazing paintings and vintage photographs. So long as you're willing to pay $30-$50 for a haircut, you won't find better in Santa Barbara.

Salim is the best. He has been cutting and coloring my 85 yo mom's hair and mine for over a year and we couldn't be happier. He listens to what we want, makes suggestions when needed and we have never been happier. My mom has extremely fine hair and always has scalp showing. He cut it in a way that noone ever did before and 3 curls with curling iron is all she needs to do at home and it looks like she's got a head of thick hair. The style is fantastic. He also said if there is anything we aren't happy with come back and he'll fix it no charge. There was nothing to fix. For my hair, I have thick, long,frizzy/curly hair and had been trying since for about a year to get a Burgundy red in my dark brown hair. Salim is the 4th person in town I went to to do this and to cut it with more style. I'll never go to anyone else. My hair is finally exactly how I want it and looks better than I'd imagined. Salim came highly recommended and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Nice safe atmosphere. Comfortable wash bowls/chairs. Easy parking. Enter from pkg lot. Entrance is in back.

I went in with Nikki for the works. I have medium dark brown hair and wanted to go pretty icy blonde. Nikki went above and beyond my expectations and my hair looks fabulous. It took four hours but she was lovely to talk to and very thorough and great at her job! The atmosphere of the salon was super nice and I will definitely come back for touch ups!!

From the bottom of my heart, this amazing and leading beauty shop that I always trusted would never be forgotten nor taken for granted. Every time I visited their shop, they were greeting me appropriately and professionally. Also, the beauticians were an expert and well-trained on their chosen career. No doubt that I’m always satisfied and overwhelmed with their services. They were also using some branded and original products that could truly be trusted.

I am totally impressed with the fabulous service and all around caring atmosphere. My friends have all commented on how beautiful the new color of my hair is. The process left my hair healthy and shiny. I'm so happy with the whole experience I drive 4 hrs just to have Walter work his majik.♡🕉
