DNa Lab: organic concept salon

I absolutely adore DNa lab! The ambiance of their salon is so relaxing. I love how they use all organic/ non toxic products; that's important to me because i have curly hair so i want to keep these curls as healthy as possible! The stylist there are talented, creative and passionate about their clients and it shows through their work and attitude, i know i am always in good hands!

Took me a while to find a hair stylist I could trust, but thankfully found Olivia. She’s super friendly and easy to talk to. She cuts and colors my hair here and ALWAYS does a great job. She always has my best interest in mind and keeps my hair low maintenance for me, so I don’t have to get my hair touched up all the time. Highly recommend her! The salon itself is super cute and clean. Parking is usually really easy to find - I’ve never had any issues. The other stylists and workers I have met in passing seem super friendly as well.

Olivia at DNA lab does my cut and color and is the best hairstylist I've ever had. She is a master of vivids and ive done all the colors with her- red, pink, blue, purple... all of which other hairstylists have been hesitant about since my natural color is black (Asian). She also makes me feel so comfortable and the time flies by when I'm there. The salon in general is super nice and clean, and everyone who works there is lovely and sweet. 10/10 recommend!

The team here is SO friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They are personable and care to get to know me too. I have had my hair done by Olivia and Penny over the past couple of years - and both are fantastic. They listen to what I want when I come in with a definitive plan. When I come in with pictures, but am undecided, they help me figure out what I want and I always love what they do! I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and won’t go anywhere else. The ambiance is bright, modern and the space is filled with beautiful plants. The shampoo chairs relaxing as you get to actually lay down. They use organic products too, that even cover my stubborn grays. Parking is easy too, considering it’s downtown.

If you are looking for vivid hair color in the Charleston area: run, don't walk, to see Olivia Van Heusen at DNa Lab. As one of Olivia's "hair models," I don't even know what color she is planning to put on my hair before I show up to my appointments. Yet I have never once left displeased. She's an artist who has my implicit trust. DNa Lab's staff is fantastic, and the shop is adorable and super clean.

I have been going to DNA Lab since 2020 and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the staff to the aesthetic of the salon, everything is downright awesome. My stylist, Olivia, is attentive and always gives me honest and knowledgeable advice on my hair. If you’re looking for a salon that cares about the integrity of your hair, THIS IS THE PLACE!

Such a cute little salon in the heart of downtown Charleston! The lay down chairs at the shampoo bowls are a game changer, it makes the experience even more relaxing. Not only is their staff extremely sweet, they are all super talented! Get yourself a rose or one of their house blend red teas while you get your hair done! Highly recommend
