Amazing stylists. Friendly. Skilled. Definitely going back. My friend who referred me to Amber has straight hair, as I believe is the case for most of their clients. But Amber listened to me carefully and do a fabulous job on my curly hair. Thank you!

Their nail game needs some work. I got a Groupon from someone and not only did the nail tech not check it before she started, come to find out it was refunded without me knowing. I still offered to pay and she just charged me for the gel I added (which I didn't get on my toes which made no sense to me). I gave her a tip, but they will not receive my business again, they're basic and I got home to find out my pedicure was ruined because my paint wasn't dried completely. The nail tech said they were but thank God this was a gift because I do not think I would have paid for this. I also had to walk around on their floor without shoes post my pedicure (normally sandals are provided). I got the most basic thing done and I see spaces on my fingers where more paint was needed, but my toes were no bueno. I had just got them done.....oh well. And all of their furniture is a mess (not normal or fat people friendly at all)....Almost broke my phone because it fell through the seat of a chair.

This review is about the mani/pedi offering for all the well meaning boyfriends. If you want to treat your girlfriend or wife to a mani/pedi, this is not the place. There are certain things that are standard with a quality manicure or pedicure and none of them were met. After waiting 2 months for this gift, I expected a high quality job. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. To begin with, I sat down in an uncomfortable, dingy armchair. The nail polish is old which means that the color was uneven and the dry time took forever. Most of the products used were drugstore products and less that quality (I'm sure it didn't help that they were old). The quality of craft is simply not there. My cuticles weren't trimmed back properly, there was minimal attempt at the hand/foot massage that is usually standard. The application of the polish was sloppy and constantly being cleaned up with an orange stick. My nails are still ragged after filing, the shape is not even. As you can see from the picture the final result looks like something I attempted to do at home. It's been less than 24 hours and the polish is already peeling.

Judith is absolutely amazing! She has cut colored and styled my hair for 15 years! I have a lot of hair that is hard to work with and she is outstanding. I can not recommend her more! Love the salon itself everyone is super nice and personable! Her chair is the most comfortable ever!

Platinum Black Salon is an awesome place. Robbi and Lizzy are very nice and loving people. Tonya is awesome she has been doing our nails for years even my mother who recently passed away. She always takes time to listen and ask how you are. She is caring and sweet and loving. I would not rather get my nails done at any other place.

Lizzie is awesome! She is the only person I trust with my hair, and she does a great job every time I see her! She always accommodates my schedule and is always welcoming and friendly. And the salon is always clean and full of friendly faces. I will never go anywhere else!

The first time I went there was over 17 years ago to get my nails done for my daughter's wedding. Now I go every 3 weeks. Tonya is not only a great nail tech but she has become one of my closest friends. Robbie cuts and colors my hair and she is amazing too. Lizzie hasn't cut my hair but I've seen her work and she too is awesome. They are all like family. Love this place!!
