Got my hair done in October. I asked her not to fry my hair; she said, 'I'm going to use something faster acting on the mids and ends of your hair, not in a scary way, though it will be fine.' I didn't understand that meant she was going to use a strong developer and bleach on my hair, absolutely killing it. I trusted her. At the end of the session, my hair was snapping off. As we were brushing it, she didn’t even want to dry it with the round brush and hair dryer because she knew it would break off. At that time, I thought it was normal breakage (it wasn't). I had to cut 16 months of growth off my hair, and it's still damaged all the way up into the mids of my hair. I have no curl pattern left; it lays limp and feels like hay. It's ugly; I feel hideous. I hope her, her husband, and dog really needed that tip I gave her because she didn't deserve a tip and I shouldn't have paid for that service at all. Looking back at what she decided to put on my hair, even after I asked her not to hurt my hair, I didn't care that the red was going to take multiple sessions to come out; I thought I had made that clear. I didn't want to say anything, and I thought I could just move on without saying something, but I'm so sad every time I look in the mirror. I want to cry; I literally don't want to go out of my house. After losing my hair to medical issues for the last 7 months, and then to have a professional fry what was finally healthy again, even after I asked her not to hurt my hair and then needing to cut 8+ inches off of it because of severe damage... absolutely devastating, and a lesson not to let just anyone play in your hair, I will not be coming back, and will not let anyone touch my hair again. If you read this all the way through, there is another lady by the name of Lisa (she's blonde). She did my hair back in May; she is very talented and won't destroy your hair, but she is hard to book with; she only works 14 hours a week. But If you can book with Lisa, I highly recommend her.

Images has been our hair salon for years. From a quick haircut to color, perms, or styles, this is the place. We get Matrix, Biolage, Nioxin, and other products here too at fair prices. Lisa and Julie are two of our favorites but they are all really good. Images Hair Salon is in Joliet near Crest Hill and Plainfield.

I needed to find a place to go for a haircut out here. I looked online and chose this place based on reviews. I went for a hair cut and had a picture of what i was wanting. The consultation the stylist did not communicate well and when asking how much needs to be trimmed off due to split ends she could not answer. I told her where i wanted my shortest layer and longest layer. As she was cutting my hair she had it parted on a slant but in the middle, i assumed to cut the entire length. Normally layering is done with your hair parted how you normally part. After she was done cutting she then said something about my part and i told her where i part my hair. She had to go recut my hair since it was not the way she parted it. Then she asked me a question and i was confused what she meant by U cut and asked, she could not explain it to me. And just kept saying a U cut and showing me where she wanted it to be at. I had lost all faith with this hair cut and was confused so i said no. She then said she had to even out my hair and cut even more hair off. So total my hair was much shorter than where i showed here i wanted it to fall which was mid back and my hair is at my shoulders. Then while drying and styling my hair she kept getting my hair stuck in her round brush and pulling it out. I now have broken pieces of hair i didnt have prior to this visit and my hair is too short. I will probably not be going to any hair salon anytime in the future. I really have never had such a bad experience before, and it really shaken me. I didnt say anything during the visit because at that point it was an hours and 15 minutes and i was trying not to cry at how much she kept cutting or how many times she had to rip my hair out of the round brush and had to yank it back out. Ive gotten my hair cut at a lot of places and never have had this kind of experience before. I dont trust salons anymore and will be working on repairing the breakage she caused to my hair.

I've never had my hair colored professionally and was recommended by a coworker to Lisa V. I wanted to go red, I'm naturally dirty blonde and I'm very particular about my hair in general, even getting it trimmed (I've had someone cut 6 inches off when I wanted a simple healthy cut). To say I've waited over a year for a stylist to touch my hair again... Lisa V is a genius. Not only is the red gorgeous but she understood how much I wanted trimmed with it still being healthy and giving my hair the body and volume I wanted. Thank you so much!

Finally found a real good place where they know what they are doing. Thanks Julie for making me look great! I'm back getting my hair color refreshed. Julie is my stylist. She is the best. I've been coming here for years. Love them so much!

I have never been treated more like a person than any other place I have been. I am putting a few notes in my pocket as I own my own business. They talk to you like they have known you forever and they cut and highlighted my hair exactly like I asked! I am not easily impressed either. While I was there I saw they treated every customer like they knew them for years so I don’t even know who was a new client or existing client! I am super impressed.
