Maru Hair Salon

I honestly couldn’t be happier with my hair! A coworker recommended this salon, and after a quick Instagram search I chose Nina because I was hoping to find someone who truly understood natural curls and she did not disappoint. She was warm, transparent about her process, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident throughout the appointment. The entire salon team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I will absolutely be coming back many more times!

Really happy with Maru salon. I most recently saw Nina for a haircut (long layers, straight and fine hair) and she did a gorgeous job with very thorough attention to detail. My husband also gets his hair cut by Nina and she’s a pro at men’s styles as well. Over the years I’ve also had cuts with Brooklyn, Riley, and Travis, all of which are pros! I recommend checking out Maru’s instagram to find the stylists’ profiles and find the style that works for you.

I came to this salon with a budget of 150-200, hoping to lighten my dark brown hair to a lighter brown and add highlights. My said my hair was "too dark" and "too thick" for what I wanted. She suggested instead I make multiple appointments to achieve the sunkissed look I was going for, and she could begin the process with "evening my base" prior to highlights for a hefty 500 dollars. I cancelled, paid a 50 dollar cancellation fee, and was met with more upset stylists suggesting instead I do a "gloss treatment" which would be within my budget but do nothing to my hair color, or "come back when I have a bigger budget." Yeah, no thanks.

My stylist was incredibly sweet and wonderful and I really enjoyed talking with her. Unfortunately she gave me a pretty rough haircut. Quite uneven and almost the exact opposite of what I asked for BUT the salon seemed just lovely and I’m sure there are other talented stylists.

Brooklyn has cut my hair multiple times now and she dos an amazing job every time. I have really corse thick hair and it can feel so unmanageable. Always feels so good after a cut from her.

The salon’s ambiance is fantastic, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Travis did an incredible job with my hair—he carefully adjusted the style to suit my hair type and face shape while staying true to the photo I showed him. He also took the time to share styling tips and demonstrated how I could recreate the look at home. I highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Vidalia for over 5 years now and she is amazing!!! I have long, dark almost black hair and she knows exactly how to highlight my hair each and every time! She also does short haircuts for my mom and her friend’s hair. We all love her!
