Hankuk Oriental Market & Restaurant [KOREAN]

First time here and was met with a really nice and homey vibe. The lady working there had a somewhat thick accent but it was still easy to understand her and she was really sweet. I got the Kimchi chiggae and my sister got the sweet&spicy chicken. We both got eggrolls and normally I don’t like eggrolls, but these were absolutely phenomenal. The side dishes were also incredible. Everything was fresh and hot. We waited for probably around 10 minutes for our food. The lady kept coming back and asking if it was good and explaining what everything was, her presence alone made the experience nice. Though, I do wish more people dined in instead of ordering takeout as it will definitely taste better fresh (: They had much more than snacks in the store area, tons of homemade things aswell. She did accidentally ring up someone else’s things and we didn’t notice until we got home, but luckily my brother wanted it lol. So honestly, 10/10. I will be coming back!

Excellent, fresh, homemade Korean food. Lovely to dine in and to shop the prepared food in the market. The owners are so nice and do a great job. Our family is going to miss this business so much! There’s no other place like it in Macomb County! We will miss you.

First time trying Korean food and I absolutely loved it. Everything was delicious! It's a small Korean grocery store and a diner..customer service was good and prices were good.

The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I've gotten on a first-name basis with them, that's how much I like this place. Hankuk is by far my favorite restaurant to go to, I've been there well over a hundred times by now. Heck, the owners watched me grow up, that's how long I've been going there.

We've been coming here for years. We are so sad to hear they are leaving. The food has been wonderful and the owners feel like family. The cook is exceptional. We wish them the very best.

This establishment has been in the neighborhood for over 30 years and I have been patronizing it for almost as long, albeit infrequently. After yesterday’s experience, I am definitely going to have to visit more often. I have always favored them for my sushi and other ingredients I needed for my Japanese and Filipino recipes. Their Kimchi, in my opinion, is the best in the area. Yesterday, I chose to order carryout: Shrimp Fried Rice and California Sushi Roll. Both were made while I waited. The Sushi was very flavorful and warm, which I liked. The Fried Rice was not only a good-sized portion, but was also wonderful, with the added bonus of having some ‘crispies’ as part of the frying process. Thank you, also, to the proprietor, who was very polite and helpful. Next time, I look forward to trying the Kimchi Fried Rice.

They sell a large variety of East Asian food, and serve delicious Korean food. The dumplings, pork bulgogi, and bibimbap were excellent.
