This is a magical, amazing place for any Lovecraft fan. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Providence and we walked away with many treasures. The person who was running the store (it's been a while and I can't recall their name) was amazing. A true fan and very knowledgeable. If you like anything weird, macabre, horror or Lovecraft... I highly recommend stopping by. We will be back the next time we pass through RI.

A fantastic bookstore located in Downtown Providence, catering to the horror and occult. While it's a small store, it's packed with books to delight any horror fan. They have an excellent selection of books and some tarot decks. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, which made the shopping experience wonderful. You can even ask for an H.P. Lovecraft sight-seeing map of Providence pinpointing buildings mentioned in his works or as sources of inspiration and locations he frequented. I highly recommend this bookstore to visitors of the area who are interested in Lovecraft or who want a different kind of book to enjoy.

Really friendly staff and a decent selection of books, including books by Lovecraft, Hu is pretty much the feature of the downtown walking tour I will say, the book that I got had a very strong smell to it. I know that sounds odd, but it smelled like incense or weed or something. I eventually had to put it in a plastic bag and put that plastic bag in another bag because I was having a really bad reaction to it in the car on the way home. I’ve never had that happen at a bookstore. If you have strong allergies, you might wanna be careful. But everyone was super friendly and I appreciate it a little bit more history and context. They also had a walking map, which was really nice!

Stop by this bookstore for an early morning exploration and I loved what I found! They don’t sell the normal kind of books you would find in a Barnes and noble. It was refreshing to find different genres and see horror books almost everywhere. I was really happy to get five postcards for only a $1.07! The individuals at the counters were cracked on caffeine and amazing to interact with!

Pretty cool little shop with decent prices and a great selection of books, shirts, posters, stickers, etc, and friendly & knowledgeable staff. My partner is a huge HPL fan, and the trip to this store had his jaw dropping. I recommend checking them out.

I stopped in here this past Sunday with my husband while visiting Providence and let's just say I wish I had more space in my suitcase to buy more books! (I did end up taking two home, anyway) This is an awesome shop in a cool building and they have a great selection of books and other items. The staff was also incredibly nice and enjoyable to talk with, which was an added bonus! I'll be recommending this shop to anyone I know who'll be visiting Providence, as well as I'll be sure to make a stop on future visits.

ITS NOT A MUSEUM!!!!! Lol. Once you get past that disappointment (thank you guide books and podcasts) it is a very amusing niche bookstore with lots of very clever gifts revolving around HP Lovecraft and general creepy/occult souvenirs. It was fun to browse but it is very tiny and you won’t spend more than 20 minutes max in here.
