Went into Bolingbrook store ordered balloons for a party explained to cashier need them right away for a surprise birthday party she allowed us to pick out balloons then while another employee was standing there doing nothing she was talking to a another costumer while I waited over a half hour to get 4 balloons blown up. I left someone there since she taking her time, told the person I had waiting for them she had 2 hours to get them ready that was the policy! What ??? I u derstand if the store was busy but there was only one person in the store besides us. Why would you delebertly take your time and would it take that long to inflate balloons ? I am a very good costumer of Michale’s and will NEVER be going there again. Plain mean and lazy!

I love this store. I'm not very crafty but decided to try my hand at decorating my own centerpieces. They had all the paint (acrylic and spray), brushes, adhesive, and gems I needed. I also ended up buying Halloween decor, though I probably should have waited until Nov 1 because I'm sure the decor will be half off by then. Still very reasonably priced, there is ALWAYS a coupon available online, and sometimes they clerk will even apply a coupon at the register.

I had an excellent experience with Sarah in the frame shop. She reframed some funky mirrors that I picked up at a flea market a few years back. She took the time to take them apart so we could assess what needed to be done. She also preserved some backing that had a stamp from the original manufacturer. Sarah power! 10/10 will use again.

They said Michael's was taking over the fabric from JoAnn fabrics if the selection is this limited and only at 2 stores Naperville or Orland and barely fills a 1/4 an isle that's pretty said. If you call spreading bolts of fabric here and there on empty shelves on both sides of isle taking over you are sailing mistaken. You do not hold a candle to JoAnn Fabrics not even close! Sorry but if you want JoAnn's customer's you actually have to have the merchandise to purchase. Cutting counters should always be by the fabric to insure more sales. If I'm standing there as a customer waiting to be waited on or waiting looking from the counter as your cutting my fabric chances are I'm going to find other material to buy. If the fabric is in back of the store and cutting counter in the front of the store your losing great opportunities to sell more fabric. I along with others I've talked to said it's not worth walking all the way back there. What if there's not enough on the bolt or they grabbed the wrong fabric they most definitely aren't walking all the way back to the back of the store to walk all the way back to the front to wait to get waited on yet again. You can send all those special coupons you want until you actually have a variety of fabric like JoAnn's you will not have the loyal customers JoAnn's did. I had called before I came to the one store and got told you had a wide variety of fabric and you had what I needed not the case on either. Ended up going to Textile Outlet in Chicago hard to park there but they have a lot of fabric at reasonable prices. I myself can't go there weekly like I did JoAnn's but I definitely will make a list of things needed and buy at one time here and there. I unsubscribed from my JoAnn site because of the disappointment of basically no fabric. Just being honest.

They pretty much have everything you need for any art craft project. My girls can spend hours going through the whole store looking around. The friendly staff always help when you have any questions. We frequent this store quite a-lot.
