Got my make up done by Antony today for my brother in laws wedding. I don’t do make up I like natural look but today I wanted to trust the professional make up artist to do my make up for a special occasion but I left very disappointed. Everything doesn’t look like he’s been doing it for along time.my eyeliner were completely diffrent on both eyes. He left make up on my jewelry, my lips stick is uneven. I still tip him bc I always do but I don’t like my make up at all. Please tell if if I’m exaggerate or my eyeliner are completely off?

I am only leaving a one star review because she did earn the one star. Amber was supposed to be my hairstylist today. I went in for a consultation about extensions. I was trying to get a sew in as every other black girl does, thinking I was going to a black girl who would be able to help me. I get there and my appointment is canceled. I go in and I ask why and everybody in their mom that works at Ulta is all sitting and chilling in the back chopping it up. Apparently Amber says that she has a five minute grace period for appointments. That’s fair. The issue isn’t that she has a grace period but the issue is that it was never communicated anywhere, on anything. So, how am I as a customer supposed to know? Only reason she earned that one star was because I had to keep pushing my appointment back and I kept changing the booking time and she’s clearly stayed the whole time. Not understanding what an five extra minutes was gonna do. Also, no courtesy call or text or anything. Anyways, terrible experience and I will not be getting my hair done by anybody at an Ulta salon.

Because of the holiday season they have POLICE there NOT security they are acting severely strict due to shoplifting they have decoy police cars present in the parking lot, a lady just got arrested 20 minutes ago, The manager and staff is even more acting extremely paranoid as soon as I walked in with my family I feel 100% profiled and she made it all obvious! she thought I was stealing too and I heard her tell the employees to go over there, I caught the manager lurking and acting like a spy. I was very uncomfortable and couldn't interact with family members they were making me weird and odd and unwelcome, it's the manager with the glasses wearing a black outfit , yeah the police is doing a good job however it makes me feel intense.

I have taken my lady here to get her hair done. She likes the hairdresser because she is good and is nice with a good attitude. The place is clean and well lit.

I just want to thank Sam so much for taking the time to color match me and answer my questions. I haven't worn foundation in a long time but she definitely showed me ways to help it blend better & what to watch for. I never felt like she was upselling me. She showed me what worked for her and it worked for me as well! Thank you again Sam! 💗

A month before my wedding I made a hair cut appointment here and I really liked the stylist, I told her my wedding was in a month and that I was going to book her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and she said okay. I made the appointment for 7.25.25 at 10:00AM and I was getting my pictures taken at 1:00PM. Since I cut my hair really short I knew it wouldn't take that long to do my hair and I wanted really simple makeup. The day of I get a call from Ulta at 8:00AM and it's a man telling me my stylist called out for the day and that they could still take me but not until 11:30AM. I told him that it wouldn't work for me because I was getting married and needed to be ready by a certain time. All he can tell me was 'sorry', I had to hang up the phone because I started crying hysterical not knowing what I was gonna do. I haven't cried that much in a very long time, I was already anxious that day and this news just set me off. I had my hair and makeup not come out how I wanted the day of my wedding and I was 20 minutes late to my photo shoot. I called probably 30 different places to see if they could take me and only 1 was available last minute.

Really sad to leave this review, but as a makeup artist who (for the most part) knows what I’m picking up, I had a bad experience. I can’t imagine being someone who has no knowledge and actually needs help. That’s scary. I had a few employees walk past me not even greet or ask me if I needed help, as they are just lounging and hanging out. I had one question about a perfume I didn’t see out on the sales floor, and as a walked up to an employee who was restocking perfumes and asked "Can I ask you something?" She literally didn’t bother to look at me and said "Mhm?" I had to walk away and say "Nevermind." Luckily I met Ashley who was kind enough to check my gift card balance (that I was so excited to come in and use) and she was extremely sweet and refreshing, 2 stars are for Ashley.
