Regretting my decision to get a haircut here. And good luck getting ur money back or atleast some store credit or even an apology from management. My ends have never looked this damaged after a cut and the cuts are so uneven and cut differently on both sides. When I do two braids one sides longer than the other 😓 the layering was just not good and the sheers she used were dull which is why my ends look so choppy 😬 I would of preferred her telling me she isn’t confident doing layers on my hair than going in anyways and butchering it. Even though I had a bad experience w this stylist which I’m hesitant to name 🙄there are other better stylist that work here such as Cheyanne I went to her once before and she did an amazing job. I wouldn't be so upset if she didn’t damage my ends. Now I have to spend more money on hair masks and repair shampoo w 0 refund.

As I often don’t like to leave negative reviews, this Ulta location is one of the worst Dayton location for a shopping experience. As I frequently stop by to replenish products, the store itself is wonderful. They do offer a range of products and tend to be well stock; however, when looking for an employee, most of them won’t even acknowledge you once you walk through the door and will avoid checking to see if you need help even if they’re in the same aisle. Also when checking out, I have noticed that the only thing they tend to ask is about signing up for a credit card and won’t mention about the points related to my account or the coupons I have. Again, it may be a personal issue but the customer service is unpleasant most times.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. I visited your Dayton location on October 9, 2025, and unfortunately had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at Ulta. From the moment I walked in, no one greeted me or acknowledged me. Multiple employees were stocking shelves and bumping into me as I tried to shop. At one point, I was clearly looking at a product on a shelf that an employee was stocking, and she made no effort to step aside or even acknowledge me. It felt like I was inconveniencing her simply by browsing. I actually decided not to purchase the product because the interaction was so uncomfortable. When I needed help finding the correct foundation shade, I had to hunt someone down for assistance. While the associate eventually helped, she was not warm or friendly in the least — it felt like I was a bother rather than a valued customer. I walked around the store for quite a while, and not a single employee asked if I needed help or checked in with me. To make matters worse, many shelves were understocked or empty, which made the shopping experience even more frustrating. I understand that restocking happens, but when paired with a complete lack of customer service, it leaves a very negative impression. The only positive moment during my visit came from one of the stylists in the salon, who greeted me with a warm smile. At checkout, the associate again acted as though helping me was an inconvenience. I even commented, "Well, you all seem really happy to be working here," and only then did she finally smile and say, "Have a great day." This level of service is unacceptable and far below the standard I’ve come to expect from Ulta. I typically shop at the Greene location in Beavercreek, where I’m always greeted warmly at the door and offered help with genuine kindness. The difference between the two locations is night and day. I will not be returning to the Dayton store, and I truly hope management addresses these issues. A little warmth, attentiveness, and better product availability go a long way toward creating a positive shopping experience.

I walked around the store 3 times looking for something each time walking by employees and saying out loud where is this. Finally realizing they weren't going to ask me if i needed help I asked them for help. The short haired girl's response was to roll her eyes and say that one brand here while walking by it and showing me where the other brand was. I honestly have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. There were at least 6 or 7 women working because there were 4 people working check out for one customer

Very disappointed in my make-up session. It was suppose to be the 'Glamor' application and I was told that waterproof mascara, eye liner and lip stain would be applied but a few hours after complete, most of the eye make-up was flaking under my eyes. I apply make-up daily and I have never had this happen. I made this appointment for a special event and expected better results . Won't be booking another appointment here.

Such a horrible experience I had booked a much needed appointment to get a hair color and an hour before my appt they called and cancelled. She was rude, condescending and did not even offer to help me at all. I have been an Ulta customer for years and never been treated like this. DONT BOOK AT THIS SALON

I dislike leaving negative reviews like this and try really hard to give benefit of the doubt when things go wrong at places. I mean, we are all flawed humans and no one is perfect but I am completely blown away that every single visit to this specific store has been absolutely awful! The customer service is horrendous. The employees I've interacted with have all had overly catty attitudes and it feels like I inconvenience them by wanting to spend my money here. I have never experienced anything like this where every visit was bad! I personally would never try to be in customer service with the attitudes they have equipped there.
