99 Ranch Market

Irvine has two 99 Ranch locations, and Tustin has one, each offering convenient meal options. With the new Aliso Viejo store, I expected something unique, but it fell short. I visited at 11:10 AM. The store was clean, but the food selection is quite disappointing. Unlike other locations, it only sells individual entrées—no combo lunch boxes. I also didn’t see steamed rice, fried rice, or chow mein. Does that mean I have to go home and cook rice again? Despite its size, it lacks a food court, which could have attracted more customers. The store felt empty, and without standout features, it’s unclear how it will bring in steady traffic. Will not return .

Some items are cheaper than Irvine store. They have more fresh cut flower bouquets. Not crowded. Very neat and organized. More Spacious than other 99 Ranch markets. They also have bbq togo items section. I also saw a few self check out counters. Lots of parking, i came on a Tuesday. There is only one entrance to this plaza parking lot from Aliso Creek. The plaza has a Trader Joe's, Marugame Udon and soon to be opened Omomo Tea shop.

What a nice surprise! They have a special buy one get one free on hot food that starts @6pm. They have Eel Sushi ...stir fried rice dishes, stuff buns and anything Asian. Their produce department, exotic snacks, exotic drinks and noodles selections were awesome. The meat department was clean and meat looked fresh. I will sign up to be a member.

I think this is the nicest location out of all the ones I've been too. I used to drive to the Irvine location off the 5 fwy. It's very big and clean and well stocked. I was happy when it opened up down the street from me.

The supermarket is nice and clean, but the hot deli…I had lunch there a couple weeks ago, let’s just say it was the worst meal I had in a long time. The food tasted terrible. The BBQ pork was dry, the string beans were tasteless. To be clear, I’m talking about their hot deli, not the other food vendors inside 99 ranch market.

In Aliso Viejo, the long-awaited 99 Ranch Market, finally opened this week. We are all very excited having Dahua in this neighborhood. The shopping experience is different versus other 99 Ranch or Asian markets. The furnishings and items sold in this location are unlike others. The space design is open and well organized. Finally, there are live tanks; lots of fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat selections.

5 stars for opening and having 90% of the ingredients I need. Still might have to trek to little Saigon for more authentic dishes. Clean and organized. Meat department needs to handle meat better. Don’t give us bags with meat juice and blood on it contaminating the card and our hands. Other than that rest of staff is nice. Hoping they add some more hot dishes and more authenticity. I feel like this one is toned down slightly due to the area.
