Thao Market

When you walk into a place of business and the owner welcomes you and uses your name after you’ve been there a couple times you feel like they opened their home to you. Which is how you feel every time you go in there. Smiles are genuine, place is clean, and prices are accurate. I drive over an hour twice a month and skip all the other oriental markets to go straight to Thao Market. Mike (One of the sons) I consider to be my only friend in St. Cloud because every time I’m in there we catch up and converse and doesn’t treat my visit like it’s just another transaction. Thank you Tita!!!

I want to Thao Market for the first time today after I’ve driven past it a few times and I’m so glad I did. I get social anxiety so I don’t like going to unfamiliar places but I was really craving some hot pot and needed ingredients. Right when I walked in I was greeted with a friendly hello so I felt comfortable. The store is small but their variety of products was massive. Everything was very well organized so I was able to navigate easily even though it was my first time there. I found everything I needed and then some. The woman running the shop helped me find the few things I was having trouble locating without me even having to ask. Once I got up to the counter, she spoke to me in a way that made me feel like family. She was beautiful, sweet, and genuine❤️ I will definitely be visiting Thao Market again. Thank you so much for the experience! P.S. The photo is of everything I bought. It was only $66! This will feed me and my boyfriend for a week. Going back to big corporate stores? In this economy? No mam. I’m going to Thao’s

This store is amazing, they have a lot of Filipino products. I don’t even miss the Philippines products because they provide everything I need. The owners are very nice and they have a really gwapo son named Michael and I’m hoping he sees this cause I have a very big crush on him 😁. I hope he’s single ❤️. God bless this store 😇

The place looks fresh, the owner is kind, she gave free items for Christmas while I was checking out, its almost if I was actually celebrating Christmas there!

This is one of my favorite Asian markets. It may be small but it boasts a variety of unique items. The owner was so kind and gracious. The store itself is clean and the shelves are packed with all kinds of goodies. You can even get those hard to find vegetables like lotus root. The only thing I would add is a few more sweet treats (like Meiji chocolate). Definitely recommend this store! #shoplocal

Drove 86 miles to find my usual Asian market closed. Quick look in Google found this neat, supplied, and organized little market a few miles away. Had the items I needed plus more spent $175.00 . Happy to have another shopping option in St Cloud.
