It's a great feeling shopping here. Paid for groceries and walked towards the door, the manager and cashier screamed at us to stop and accused us of shoplifting. Showed our bags and receipt to prove we didn't steal. They then walked away without an apology or a my bad. Food Lion isn't far down the street and don't judge a book by its cover.
definitely one of the worst experiences i’ve ever had inside of a grocery store. my grandpa and nana were visiting from out of town, and had his service dog with him.. everything was fine until we reached self checkout…. the lady attending saw the dog (mind you she don’t bark, jump or anything she literally just sat there with a smile, wagging her tail happily.) and the lady literally jumped back 10 feet and screamed, just to yell at my grandma ‘to get that dog out now maam’ over and over again, she let her know that it was a service dog, an she responded by continuing to yell to get out with an attitude, drawing the attention of others. no one else seemed to have an issue. plus, we literally had three items. some dog food, eggs, and a bottled pop. the guy across the way needed help and she refused to help until ‘that dog was moved and put out.’and he even told her she was basically just doing too much and being rude. a whole nother customer said she was being rude and continued to be rude to both him and my family. she also had a MAJOR attitude before this, as a few weeks ago i had to go get a money order and she had a major attitude and huffed and puffed about having to do her job.. honestly was very disappointing. security didn’t even bother with the situation as there was no need.. it was complete discrimination drawn from her own fears. the dog was friendly, only looked at her (as dogs do.) didn’t bark, nip, growl, or do anything except look then look away, with a happy face and wagging tail. genuinely the worst customer service i’d ever experienced. i hope she’s able to find help for her fears, and for the reaction in which was unnecessary and uncalled for.
While traveling, I was trying to pop in and out of this Kroger for bologna and cheese. They had the selection I've always appreciated, but checkout was miserable. A 5-10 minute wait...in SELF-CHECkOUT! Then the plain, packaged cheese threw the computer out of whack and required intervention from the self-checkout overlord. Really a pitiful experience. Hope it's better most of the time, but not this time.
Stephanie at the deli is amazing! Her attention to detail and customer service is impeccable. I wish every Kroger and its competitors had a Stephanie!
To the that people post that this Kroger is "the worst experience" , have you been to the Hinesville Kroger? This place is leaps and bounds above that poor excuse of a grocery market. I have had no issues with this location. Every place is going to have issues.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO THIS STORE! I have never seen a grocery store so poorly ran. This has been on ongoing problem since I've moved here, 5 yrs. Rotten produce. Empty shelves. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE people that work there (they are constantly hiring bc they can't keep employees) BUT this was my last trip there today bc the last 4 times in they were out of over half of the things on my list, today was no different. If they are going to force me to shop somewhere else, I will gladly take all of my business to Food Lion and Publix. Bc FOOD LION and PUBLIX always have stocked shelves, fresh produce, and friendly people. I HOPE THE UPPER MANAGEMENT SEES THIS AND THE OTHER REVIEWS BC THEY NEED TO FIRE THE MANAGER THERE AND GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO MANAGE A GROCERY STORE.
This location desperately needs more shopping carts and/or another team member to round up carts in the parking lot. There are usually few carts inside anyways, but when I came here around noon the other week, there was not a single cart inside; I had to go out to the parking lot to grab a cart, which is frustrating at baseline but especially as I was carrying my baby in car seat and had my toddler holding my hand. Also worth mentioning that while checking out the one visit, a $0.60 Kroger yogurt fell out of my cart and the container broke. I told the cashier, who said "I’m going to have to charge you for that." I have never seen or heard of anyone being charged for an accident like this at any other retailer. ETA: I haven’t shopped at Kroger recently, but stopped in today for some items that Publix doesn’t carry. 3 day old gray expired beef on the shelves 🤢
