Five Star Farmers Market

5 Star Farmer's Market is a small Asian grocery store that opened in 2009, in Hartford, CT. If you don't want to go to the larger ones in the area, this is a convenient one stop location for a quick shopping trip. It's located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. They also have a location in Springfield, MA. When you first walk in, to the left is where you can get prepared foods, Peking duck, boba tea, Vietnamese coffee, juice, etc. The ladies working the counter were friendly and helpful. In the back is where you would find the meats and seafood. There's a produce section selling regular fruit and veggies as well as exotic ones. In the middle, you can find all the snacks, sauces, anything you would need to cook Asian Cusine. They also have frozen food items. On this visit, I purchased a persimmon fruit and some snacks. Overall, a nice spot to get some Asian food products!

Please fix your refrigerator, you kept cha Lua and tofu there for days in a broken refrigerator. This is ridiculous, 6 weeks after first review and the refrigerator still hasn’t been fixed? Please do not buy any tofu or cha lua at this location? Where is health department????

Lots of ready made food is why I love this place. I love the weekend dimsum to go. Bahnmi can be toasted if you ask. Some other basic Asian pastries. They have lots of great Chinese and Vietnamese specialties if you're an adventurous foodie. They don't advertise it, but they do rice plates, too. I love their kimchi style the most, because it's not too vinegary. The grocery part of the store is cozy and will have the basics for South East Asian and Chinese cuisines, including a butcher and small seafood selection.

I go to this market every week. The cooked foods are great. Even the place is not too large, there products meet the demand so it will be easier to buy food. Pros: good food, jackfruit is great. Cons: small, only has max 3 cashers to check out.

Please make sure to check your fruit before purchasing it. I bought a crate of mangoes and they all turned out to be bad just the next day.

We love going here they have everything you need to make an Asian feast at home. They also sell cooked food. Everyone are so nice and helpful.

Always love coming here for all my Asian grocery needs. My kids love the variety of goodies to snack on. The vegetables and herbs are the freshest I've seen. I especially love their all ready to eat hot foods for when you need a break from making dinner for the family or just a quick bite for lunch.
