SGD DUBU SO GONG DONG TOFU & KOREAN BBQ (Glenveiw)

I love this place. Perfect for a rainy/snowy day when you want some delicious and huge portions of hot Korean food. As someone who doesn’t like tofu, I think the kimchi jjigae broth is actually wonderfully flavored even if it’s not something I order. I love love love the bento boxes! I always get beef and it’s enough for 2 full servings. This place does zucchini kimchi instead of cucumbers and it’s still super crunchy. Always happy to come to this location. Service is 10/10 and it’s so nice to see how much people love this place as a meetup/lunch spot with their friends and family. Always popular for lunch. And idk if it’s just me but their barley tea is so good and I would love to have it running through my veins 🤣

Very busy night, but my Kimchi Stew came quickly and was absolutely amazing! Can’t get over how tasty the banchan are too. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area

The food is excellent and fresh. The tofu soup with mushrooms is delicious. The service is always prompt and very friendly. Highly recommend.

I’ve been here many times and it’s always been pretty constant. Yet I always forget…: Few things to remember for next time: - ordering noodles means you won’t get the stone bowl. Nor the eggs. Don’t do it. Get rice, which means you’ll get a whole stone bowl of rice that you can crust and make into soup. - Ordering extra hot doesn’t mean it will be extra hot. They just add more pepper flakes, so the soup actually tastes flaky. But doesn’t really do much to make spicy. Get normal. - Green onion pancake is very thick. So so. I’ve just had a much better version from Jokbal Nightmarket down the street. - So, stick with their basics. Normal spicy level, good old rice, and no appetizers. Banchan is good enough!

Food is consistent in all locations that I have been. Great tofu soup where you can choose spiciness levels and proteins. Service is the great. It gets crowded but the staff is always attentive. Fresh ingredients and clean dishes ( no burnt or chipped serving dish.

We ate here for dinner, and our experience was excellent! Everything we ordered was so delicious, and the service was very quick. We ordered the pork bulgogi, kimchi and beef tofu soup with udon noodles, beef short ribs, seafood pancake, and beef hot stone bibimbap. The complimentary small dishes were also all fantastic! They do not take reservations, and we waited about 20 minutes for a table, but they were very efficient with getting parties seated. Would definitely come back again!
