Customer Reviews
Gen Korean BBQ House has a rating of 3.9 out of 5 based on over 1131 reviews on Google
The floors were so slippery, I almost broke my back. Tables were dirty. I see how much work and time it takes to clean off a table and grills. The music and decor was nice, and the service was great. Pricy but worth every penny. Be careful ordering, it was our first visit here and we got charged for premium and dinner price. Because we accidentally ordered a premium meat. 149.00 for 2 people is a bit much for one serving. This is an all you can eat dining experience. Make sure to scan the QR code on the table for the dinner price.
The service is abysmal. The first round of meats and drinks took 30 minutes to arrive (it’s raw meat.. what’s happening back there??) You have to ask for the same thing at least 3 times to get it to your table (would’ve been more enjoyable if I just went back there and got it myself). They don’t pay attention to the grill and you have to ask to get it changed. They don’t clear the plates off the table even when it starts stacking. We complained to the manager and literally nothing improved. Try another location, this one is absolute trash. The food was okay.
Food is ok, and the portions are a bit small compared to other KBBQ places, but I assume that's a good way to prevent wastage!. I liked their new mango tango dessert! Their brisket is thin enough to grill it crispy. The sauce portions can be a bit more as well, but you can always ask for more. Prices are reasonable, comfortable booth seating for most tables. Large sports TV at the front.
Gen Korean Barbecue House is honestly a good but not great Korean barbecue resturant. I've been to better before. I definitely see what other peoples' reviews are about now. Nevertheless, it was still Korean barbecue and I somewhat enjoyed it. Service was tolerable, not the best at all Atmosphere was a little underwhelming, but still tolerable 1 being the worst I've ever had 10 being the best I've ever had 6/10. Good food, tolerable service, slightly underwhelming atmosphere, would probably not come back or recommend.
Horrible serve for a party. Celebrating a birthday party they couldn’t get staff for happy birthday song. Pior to this we told them about 45 minutes before and still right after our waiter said they were short of staff; they still celebrated for another group as we paid. No refills. Waiter wasn’t helpful at all.
We were celebrating my dad's birthday, so a huge party of 13, and planned to arrive before the 6 o'clock rush. They were able to quickly accommodate by splitting us into two tables next to each other. All the servers are great! Super attentive, welcoming, polite. Different ones passing by we're able to put orders in for us. Till this day, I don't know how our server was able to memorize our orders when walking by with his hands full of stuff. Our most favorite dish of the night was, by far, just plain brisket since it cooked the quickest. We also enjoyed galbi short ribs, pork jowl, premium pork, and steak. We also enjoyed vegetables, pineapple, garlic chicken, and squid fillet. Interesting discovery, they had tortillas and taco meat like al pastor. Had a different variety of salsas so one of our tables were having Mexican fusion. Pro tip: We love to request for chili, raw garlic, bean paste, rice paper, pickled daikon, and only ask for salad with no dressing. We also enjoyed ordering a side of diced onions to go with our brisket for a little stir fry. Some Costcos sell their gift cards, which really sweetens the meal!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently visited Jen Korea Barbecue, and I must say, everything was absolutely delicious! As first-time customers, we were a bit unsure of what to order, but our waiter, Julio, made the experience truly exceptional. He explained the menu in detail and provided us with great advice and suggestions that enhanced our meal. Julio was incredibly attentive, ensuring that our food arrived on time and that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. His guidance made all the difference in our dining experience, and we felt well taken care of. If you decide to visit Gen Korea Barbecue, I highly recommend asking for Julio. His knowledge and customer service will surely make your experience memorable! Thank you, Julio, for a fantastic evening!
