Customer Reviews
K Cafe & Eats has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 based on over 219 reviews on Google
Tucked into the food court of Joong-Boo grocery store, KCafe & Eats is one of the food court options and absolutely delicious! This is not your average food court food! I needed to go grocery shopping, but before the tasks begins hubs and I needed lunch! We walked thru the choices available at the food court and decided that Korean wings would be a tasty lunch meal. We were there just before 3:00 so we ordered the KPopcorn chicken lunch special. It came with tater tots (my fav), popcorn chicken with ddukbokki (ttekbokki) in the OG sauce, and a soft drink. We also got a 5 piece chicken wing in honey sauce and a taro blended smoothie. The popcorn chicken with dduk-bokki was plentiful for a lunch special. The OG sauce is DELICIOUS! It's slightly spicy, sweet, umami, and covered everything well! The popcorn chicken was crispy and juicy, nice plump sized pieces, and the dduk-bokki was nicely seared, chewy, and fresh! The tater tots were fried well and we dipped it in the OG sauce. The wings were larger and juicy, sooooo crispy, and covered in plenty of yum honey sauce. It wasn't a sickly sweet honey sauce, it was well balanced! The taro freeze tasted like taro which is good. I've had it at other places where it just tastes like a cup of slushy ice and a hint of something. The owner (I think he was the owner) was so sweet and was patient while I tried to figure out what we wanted. Because we were there just before 3:00 on a Monday, it wasn't very busy. There are plenty of tables for seating and enjoying your food. They're spaced nicely apart and all kept clean. The food court area is separate from the grocery store and has its own entrance (far right doors as you face the front of the store). To get to the grocery side you'll have to leave the food court and walk over to the other entrance. Craving some delicious Korean wings, dduk-bboki, or even bingsoo? KCafe will really hit the spot and it's so affordable!
The concept was cute but the food was not good. My partner and I both got the fried chicken tteobokki with noodles and the dish was so overly sweet that we could not finish it. Both of us also had stomach problems afterwards. They had a free ice cream sign for leaving Google reviews. It’s also not ethical for them to bribe customers for reviews in exchange for free food. It gives shops unfair ratings that do not reflect the business
I LOVE LOVE THE BINGSO!!! Me and my friend get it as a treat every now and then and their chicken was not my taste palette so idk if it’s good or bad but the workers are always nice.
Do you ever drive around with friends or try to figure out where to get dessert? Especially a good bingsoo? Well I do! And unfortunately K Cafe is too far from where I live but anytime I in Schaumburg, I’m making a stop here. It is so hard to find a good bingsoo with the quality shaved snow machine, not gas station shards of ice. This place got it right! Not only do they have the fluffy sweetened snow where the little flakes melt into the shape of the roof of my mouth, they sweeten it well- not too sweet. It also layered well with the strawberries, and quality milk ice cream on the bottom and top! I love when they layer it. The colorful pieces of dduk have a nice chew and the strawberry filling layers tastes homemade and sweet enough to make you keep eating. I would’ve loved some roasted grains powder (misugaru), cornflakes and red bean as an option to add to the strawberry bingsoo, but I didn’t check if they had or could do that. I also LOVED that they had an individual bingsoo option so I could have my own, but I ended up sharing it because it was big enough for 2 peeps. Great bingsoo place and I’m so happy they got it right, like in Korea! My daughter also got the OG popcorn chicken? and dduk combo with tator tots. She loved it bc she loves both dduk (which was fried, yum!) with seasoned Korean chicken. I actually think frying the dduk enhances the chew and taste so it is a great idea and pairing with the chicken! Kimchi fries were great and we got it at the end of our meal. I was so full but I couldn’t stop eating it. Crispy, thicker cut French fries with cheese and slightly sour stir fried kimchi tasted great together. Great snacks that pair well with yummy bingsoo!
The wings here were delicious, everything you want in a chicken wing. The soy garlic, og and k buffalo are the way to go.
Got the Spicy Glaze Popcorn Chicken and the rice cakes have the right crispiness and overall it's actually quite spicy!
I have been coming to K Cafe & Eats ever since they opened. Every time I have tried almost everything off of their menu and have never been disappointed, whether it was their Duk or Wings or Drinks or Matcha Soft Serve. Everything has always been amazing quality and great value to me. My past few visits, my go to order now has been their Omelette Rice. I was hesitant to try it, but my friend ordered it once and let me try it and I've been hooked ever since. It has been my go to order now for the past month plus. The quality of it is amazing and the flavor is high quality. I also am a huge fan of their Matcha soft serve. I've always been a huge fan of anything Matcha and when I saw that they had Matcha soft serve, I had to try it and just like everything else there, it was amazing. After my Omelette Rice, I always finish off my meal with a Matcha soft serve cone. Besides the food, the customer service has always been top notch. They are always patient when I order and willing to answer any questions I may have about anything on their menu. I never have to wait long for my order to be ready as well, which is a bonus. I also feel that everything on the menu that I have ordered has been a great price value to me. I encourage everyone to go check out K Cafe & Eats and get the Omelette Rice with the Matcha soft serve for dessert.
