TomoKun Korean BBQ is a great spot if you’re craving authentic Korean BBQ in Ann Arbor. The quality of the meat was excellent and well-marinated, making it perfect for grilling at the table. The variety of banchan (side dishes) was fresh and flavorful and paired really well with the BBQ. If you like naengmyeon, it’s a must-try here. The bibim naengmyeon was especially good, and wrapping the noodles with grilled meat made it even better—such a great combination. We also ordered the steamed egg, and adding cheese on top made it extra rich and delicious. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the staff was attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. Overall, TomoKun Korean BBQ offers a satisfying and authentic Korean dining experience. I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again. 😁👍👍
We got the spicy beef bulgogi and LA galbi to barbecue. They were well seasoned and marinated. We also got the dolsot dupop which was delicious! This place is a little more on the expensive side but you get a lot of sides and extras. Staff is nice and checks up on you. We came at a time when it wasn’t that busy. It was easy to talk and relatively quiet.
Tomukun was a place we wanted to stop in and try for a while. Finally came in for a date night-- the Green Curry Udon did not disappoint. If you love ramen, I highly recommend the Duck Ramen. Their Tempura Shrimp Buns were a delicious way to start the meal. Good service, good music choice playing and good food.
Worst experience ever for they charged us almost double the price just because they made a mistake when ordering!!! We clearly ordered one pork belly (2 servings) and one beef brisket (2 servings) for a group of four. We were served two small plates of each and reasonably assumed each plate was one serving. At checkout, we were shocked to see the bill doubled. They admitted it was their misunderstanding, yet still insisted on charging us for what they thought we ordered. So let me get this straight: a restaurant can serve whatever they want, wait for customers not to catch it, and then charge however much they want? Is that the policy? The manager tried to "fix" this by offering free salad 😅 This is insulting!!! Completely unprofessional and misleading. Never coming back to Tomukun.😅
Got to meet the new owner Mike Great personality! Looking forward to some menu changes But the selection meats is always top tier And the sides always hit Rice are perfectly steamed Always the vibes are great playing all the classics from early 2000s
Atmosphere was great and food was even better. I had the chicken dolsot bibimbap, a very generous portion of chicken and the blend of veggies was very delicious. We also had the seafood pancake which was was nice and crispy, and barbecued thin-cut pork belly. The meat quality was very good and the strips were very easy to cook. The dipping options with the meat were also plentiful Overall service was great, our waitress explained everything to us as it came out, and was sure to give out warnings about handling the grill and my dolsot stone bowl. 5/5 would come again
Great place to go for a nice relaxing dinner with your spouse, good drinks, you can take your time with conversations at your own dinner pace
