MMMBap

I’ve had the k-special twice now, and have been satisfied both times! With such limited options in Des Moines for Korean cuisine, MmmBap is a treat. I especially love the spicy pork!

MMMbap is a new Korean restaurant opened downtown Des Moines in the Local Bites cafeteria. They are open 11A-2P. I tried the K Special which was the perfect medley of meat & veg, sweet & spicy. I loved the jammy egg and the kimchi. So much flavor in one dish.

Had the K Special for lunch today - combo with beef bulgogi, spicy pork, Korean fried chicken, and fried cauliflower. SO good!! Highly recommend. Kimchi was perfect.

I appreciate the effort to bring Korean food into Des Moines' lunch options. Beef bulgogi was a little tough--might've been overcooked. Not enough kimchi and rice for the amount of beef. Nice staff that clearly explained what gochujang mayo was.

So this is in a food court during lunch hours. It’s a generous portion for what you get/ pay for. Served and prepped quick. I had the K special 🫰🏻🫶🏻❤️🥢🇰🇷🦴🍗🔥🌶️🍳🥘🥩🥬

Found my new classic lunch spot! Today I ordered for the first time and got the k special and was very impressed! The food was quick, delicious, and the serving size was very generous.

The cheesy egg rolls are amazing!! I’ve tried both the beef bulgogi and the K Special. Both were great. Big portions. Highly recommend.
