Super easy to get to, and very much appreciated the valet parking as we’re not from Pitt and lots of street parking was unavailable due to the snow. We chose the four course Valentine’s Day menu and did not regret it at all!!! There were 3 options for each course. Every course was amazing and we loved trying each other’s options, although we both got the filet, because who can resist a filet??? His dessert was really good, but mine was AMAZING!!
My girlfriend and I went here for her 21st birthday and this place did not disappoint. From the food to the ambiance of the restaurant, everything was perfect. The fried tofu is a great option for starters and we paired that with the cauliflower which tasted amazing together. She had a leechi cocktail and it was very nice, it was sweet but not too sweet. Their double salmon sushi was splendid as taste was perfect and the ingredients tasted so fresh. For the dessert, we went with the chocolate pretzel stack and the staff was super sweet and put a candle on it and a happy birthday engraved chocolate on it as well. Overall, the whole experience was so nice and we definitely will be coming back!
We had an incredible meal at Soba! If you are looking for unique Pan-Asian flavors in Pittsburgh, this is the spot. Everything we ordered tasted amazing, and we were really impressed by the generous portion sizes and the lightning-fast, attentive service. A few highlights from our meal: Roasted Cauliflower: Roasted to absolute perfection. The chili oil dressing added the perfect kick—highly recommend! Chopped Salad: Honestly one of the best salads I’ve had. The papaya pieces were fresh, and the crunchy topping added a great texture. Thai Curry with Crunchy Noodles: Rich, flavorful, and the crunch from the noodles made it stand out. Kid-Friendly: Our kid absolutely loved the edamame. The portion was huge, and she still managed to polished off almost the entire thing! Great atmosphere and even better food. We will definitely be back!
I had my birthday dinner here after hearing good things about the place. My friends and I were thoroughly pleased with our meal, the service, the ambience, etc! Not only were the portions large but the drinks were delicious and strong! Not to mention our server was VERY attentive and made our experience enjoyable, the restaurant staff even gave me a signed birthday card from them that was displayed on the table when I arrived! I’ve never had that happen in my years of birthday dinners lol and to me that showed that they actually pay attention to each reservation and strive to make sure it is a special moment!
We had a 4pm reservation on a Steelers Sunday lol. So we basically got to have the lounge all to ourselves. Our server was incredible. I Do not remember their name. But they went above and beyond. I was really craving a Dr Pepper and they didn’t have it on the menu, but they offered to try to have them make something and it turned out delicious. The hostess was incredible as well. She was very personable. She said that she was gonna give us her favorite table in the restaurant. And I can definitely see why it’s her favorite. We really enjoyed it. For apps we got the Tuna Crispy Rice, Short Rib Dumplings (I personally don’t like red onions. So we asked for them on the side) and Tuna Tartare. The tuna crispy rice was by far my favorite. It was incredibly crispy and just the perfect bite. The jalapeño was sliced perfectly where had the perfect balance with the tuna and the rice. For our main meal, we got the Korean Style Red Snapper and it was incredible! If you are thinking of going here, I highly recommend that you will not be disappointed. I do suggest going with a large group of people getting a bunch of apps.
the food here was fantastic, its a great place for a nice dinner and drinks. i highly recommend getting the crispy tuna roll! also, the ube tiramisu was one of the best desserts i have had in a while!
Soba is best restaurant I have dined at Shadyside neighborhood. Great menu with options of small plates, shareable plates, and equally great cocktails and desserts. Will go again when visiting Pittsburgh next time. Valet parking or street side parking. Our reservation was 8:30 pm so parking was easy to find.
